Barefaced handles, anybody replaced them?

So, question learned ones.

I have two handles, one for the Midget, one for the Compact.
I've replaced BF handles before BUT..........................

Same as last time, I've got 4 bolts for each handle. But there are only two holes to put bolts in.

Last time I just chucked the extra bolts.
Should I be drilling two extra holes

Ta in advance (I'm not going to email BF on a Friday night).

I'm assuming you mean there are only two holes in the cabinet?

If that's right, I'd be inclined to drill two more holes to use the handles as they were intended and designed to be used, ie two bolts at each end.

Of course, if my assumption was wrong, I've just wasted 3 minutes typing this.

Frank.

I had the same Karlfer when I changed them on that Super 12.

I was going to just put a wood screw in the additional handle holes (purely to stop that slight movement), but I never got round to it.

You really need to have a washer and nut inside the cab. A screw will not be secure in the thin plywood.

Yeah, but the thought was just to put something in there to stop the side to side 'swing' of the handles

Thanks fellas, much appreciated.
I was just really wondering if BF buy the handles in and they just come with 4 bolts, yet the cabs only require 2 bolts.

The original handles, well it just seems the rubber wears more than anything.

I'm not explaining myself very well (just for a change).

2 x Tnut /handle
4 x bolt /handle

where do the extra 2 bolts go INTO THE CAB?
No Tnut or hole for them to go into.

😂 Just beat me to it

Dan, the actual link Alex puts up STATES
2 X M5 bolts per handle.

But each handle comes with 4 (presumably M5 bolts).

I know exactly what you mean Karl.

The original Mk1/Mk 2 handles have 2 screws per handle. When you order the replacements they are supplied with 4 screws per handle.

Can those other additional 2 screws be used and if so, how?
