Dimarzio Model P - Wiring

Apologies in advance for being sh*te with wiring but here goes.

I've just bought this Dimarzio Model P off the forum and have wired it up into my Squier P with a Kiogon solderless kit already fitted. The black and white wires are taped together and are not being used. I've put the red wire where the white would normally go and the green wire in with the already present ground wires (where the black would normally go).

Half the pickup sounds fine i.e. thick and powerful tone. The other half sounds very quiet and out of phase.

Any ideas what I may have done wrong?

Cheers

 Glad to hear it's sorted.

Yeah, me too thanks.

I'm very impressed. I'd heard people rave about these pickups before, but they really do have a real thick punch to them. The Squier VM P that I've fitted it to already had a Kiogon kit fitted (CTS pots etc). My MIJ 70's reissue P is fitted with a Custom Shop '62 which I also love, but this model P really has turned my Squier into a worthy alternative rather than just a decent spare.
