Bit of a long shot but thought i would ask. Does anyone going to this happen to have an Epiphone Thunderbird (any colour as long as it's black lol, only joking) they are looking to sell for around £125 - £150 please (or less if it is slightly tattered looking - as long as it plays fine, it may sound bad but love the looks of instruments that look worse for wear as they seem like they could tell a good story compared to an immaculate model). I am looking to get my first bass and don't have a great deal of money (hence the price i have mentioned). Just thought i would ask as have seen them going for these sort of prices on fleabay and could save listing fees and arranging collection/delivery. Could possibly be tempted with an Ibanez GSR180/200 depending on the price as well as these are the 2 basses i have narrowed it down to. Ideally would love a Thunderbird as it probably sounds really shallow but i personally love the look of them and having a bass you want to play rather than just settling for one for the sake of having one will give more motivation to pick up and learn more.
If anyone does, could you pm please so can make arrangements. Thanks for reading.

One little comment... TBirds can be marmite basses once you get your hands on them. They certainly look cool but I know a good few folks who love the look but hate everything about how they hang on a strap etc. On the other hand I know loads of TBird addicts. A try before you buy bass...

I feel exactly the same about Rickenbackers. Love everything about them except playing them.

A couple of things...

Bass Guitar Magazine will be giving me some magazines to give away. So look out for those too.

And... does anybody have a Tonehammer 500 they can bring? I want to check it out (as I'm using one for NAMM and I've never played with one before)

Hello,

Bit of a long shot...

But, anyone from Exeter coming down to the bass bash?
There is an amplifier I like, and I would ask you to buy it for me.
Please let me know. I'll pay for trouble and petrol.
