Looking for some more information about my Czech made double bass

Hello,

I bought this double bass just under a year ago and I would love to know some more information about it! The chap I bought it from had it for years and reckons it was made in the 1960's in Czechoslovakia. And that's really all the information I have.

So I'm wondering whether this is correct, and if so was it manufactured by a particular company? Is it a particularly common bass? Is it indeed from the 60's?

I have no intention of selling the bass, this is purely out of curiosity.

I've attached some photos below showing some markings inside the body of the bass, as well as a sticker that's on the fingerboard.

Any information would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Chris.

That looks quite similar to my first proper DB
Mine was a Boosey & Hawkes Artia". Though I believed mine t be from the 1980's
Looks nice, and as though it has seen some use, and has character
Loved my B&H - wish I had room to have kept (her)

I've still got my B&H Artia Excelsior. Lovely bass.
I did a bit of research a few years ago to find out more about these, as there are quite a few around still.

That said, I'm not sure yours is one anyway. But there were quality student instruments coming out of Czechoslovakia in the 60s and 70s. Yours looks nice,..
