Dual speaker cabinet rewire.

Last summer, Andy/Wolverine and I spoke to Alex/Barefaced about having a dual speakered cab (2x12 or 2x15), that would run in parallel (one input/both speakers) or dual-channel (two signals/speakers working independently) modes. I wouldn't be bothered if the enclosure had a switch to facilitate this or if the cabinet simply recognised whether it had one or two Speakons plugged into it. Running two 1x12s or 1x15s isn't really an option.

I run a dual channel poweramp and would genuinely like to (try and) run a Sansamp GED2112 pre-amp into this and utilise the dual channel output rather than combining the GED output into mono (via a passive mixer) before it hits the poweramp.

Alex said it wouldn't work well (and I respect what he said), but I'm curious whether anyone as tried it.

It's possible but as Alex says it's not likely to sound very good. Two speakers with different signals in the same box are likely to have some random phasing issues - cancellation, or even possible over-extension which could damage your speakers
