I love my natural Elite P Bass, so was excited to see these pop up:-

Champagne:

Ocean Turquoise:

Quite like the Turquoise, not fussed on the Champagne personally.

YMMV!

My mileage certainly does vary - I prefer the Champagne. Or I would do, if it had the cream guard it so obviously needs and not yet another bloody tort guard... The Turquoise I can take or leave. But I'd rather leave. ;)

Interestingly, they've gone the opposite way for the Jazz:

Champagne - has the pearl plate and maple board:

Ocean Turquoise has the Tort plate and Ebony board:

I prefer the champagne on those, guess that proves I prefer maple fingerboards!

That looks much better re the Champagne Jazz, even though I don't like pearl. I do like maple necks however, just not with blocks! Why don't Fender ever do the colour combinations I want? Whenever I do see a combo I like from Fender it's always on a £2,500 bass. Obviously I have expensive tastes...

Turquoise with tort is just plain wrong and is an affront to good taste and decency.

I like the champagne / pearl jazz. I agree the blue / tort is weird and pervy. At least Fender are responding to requests for new colours on their basses, the new orange Mustang pj also looks great. That said, all my basses are black or natural Fenders with maple necks so I am massively boring, and have never felt the need for colours, but new options are always nice.

Not at all, I favour various shades of white tending towards cream... with maple. You can't blame Fender for being unadventurous, really - black white and sunburst outsell everything else ten times over.

The turquoise p bass looks great!

Still don't like pearl guards, but the turquoise P looks much better in the vid than in the pics. If it had a mint, cream or parchment guard, it would be most acceptable. Now of course I have American Elite GAS. D'oh!
