J-Retro Pre-Amp

Just wanted to sing the praises of the John East J-Retro pre-amp I've just installed on by Jazz bass. Sound is great and I now have a massive range of tonal options. It's also a really nicely put together piece of kit and not too difficult to install, following the super-helpful instructions and advice from John.
My jazz is a Limelight custom with a old-school fat neck, like a baseball bat that I just love playing. I was never totally happy with the sound, so I put a pair of DiMarzio Model J pups on a while ago, which was a notable improvement, but still wasn't quite what I was looking for. But the J-Retro has made a huge difference.
