How to clean hardware?

Recommended Posts

If it's actual "pitting" then that usually means the plating has come off the metal beneath. You can't really clean that. Don't use anything abrasive or you'll make it worse.

Any general polish (e.g. Mr Sheen etc.) on a soft cloth will buff things up a little but you won't get rid of the pitting I'm afraid.
