Name That Bass - by tone alone

The first track I assume is a flatwound Precision, the second - I'm not so sure (semi?) would love to hear your ideas:

Oh yes indeed - & according to the man himself he's playing a Fender Precision through a Kustom rig on this wonderful House Guests track:

...or it stands for something a little ruder!

I love em...if you love funk you have to love em.

They were also basically the house band for atlantic and gamble and huff for years.

Ron Baker used a Fender Precision with heavy-gauge flatwounds, DI'd or through (it had to be of course) an Ampeg B-15.

It's always the case - low volume, high action, strong hands. Just the way Jamerson pulled it off.


Amazing tones, I don't think I'll be able to emulate.
