If I don't want to go down the import route, where can I get one of these in the UK?

it's 70s (75?) RI CIJ jazz

The image comes from soundhouse.co.jp - I've not found this bass in this colour (ie 3TS w/rosewood) from craftedinjapan, fareast, mcguitars, etc - any of the UK importers basically.

Any suggestions?
I am tempted to import as I would probably save a few quid I guess.

You could try here: http://craftedinjapan.co.uk/gallery_74489.html

I've never bought from them, but they do seem to have some nice stuff at reasonable prices.

Ishibashi roughly £500- delivered inc all taxes, it's a no brainer.
I've just been quoted on one but to be honest I can't decide if the block inlays are a bit pretentious.
Bear in mind there are two models the 90-US and the 100 US AFAIK the 90 US is a lightweight ash body that is slightly cheaper.
Damn you've got me all gassed up again :)

Here's an importer

but you should read this thread about importing direct (or going and getting one yourself :))
Cheers OG
I've seen fareast, but he never actually seems to have anything that isn't sold (although I haven't contacted him direct).
As for import costs - that's all cool. I've seen the thread a few times and I've imported stuff meself and I think it's no more difficult that buying from within the UK
Well as a result of looking at this again I suddenly got all gassed for a Jazz again ... I'll have to go and play one to get over it :)
do you think if enough of us want to buy one, we can get enough of a discount out of ishibashi
Count me in, CIJ new prices aren't that much different to their used prices anyway so we might as well buy a boat load of new shiny ones, so whose paying :)

Get Dood to chat to them. I think he's done a few deals and may have a specific contact to negotiate with

I don't think it would harm to get a realistic shopping list together to see what volume we're potentially looking at?
(Mind you getting the dosh outta folk might be a different story though- cash upfront I rekon and pay on one credit card for the lot)

Anyway for the right price i'll have one of these, if there's enough interest I might even consider ordering a few myself to sell on. Add what your interested in yourself if you like, so far we've got

Baldy 1 x JB75-100US OWB RW
John 1 x JB75 -100US 3TS RW
Cetera 2 x ?

I reckon I'd be up for a nice white Jazz (like the one fleamail is selling on here, only (hopefully) cheaper), but I'm unsure as to it's exact model name/number designation.

Can anyone tell me what it is that I crave?

And what kind of financial damage do y'all reckon I'd be looking at?

End of questions, for now.

Go to the Ishibashi site (see the thread on Importing guitars for the link) and check out what is available.....
