at work they when the bosses have meetings they drink some kind of posh bottled water that has the same closures as grolsch bottles.

they normally leave the tray with the drinks finished bottles outside the meeting rooms when they're done...

i've acquired a few washers that way :)

I hope those aren't reusable filtered water bottles that are to be refilled by the catering staff. If so they might start getting peed off that someone keeps nicking the seals...

Today I found Grolsch in swingtops in Sainsburys (Purley Way Croydon) so I bought three. For some reason one of my basses is already wearing a single one. Most shops are now only selling the small crown cap bottles or the canned "fizzy pee" version of Grolsch.

if only a decent realale like hobgobin was sold in swingtops.

Drummer friend of mine gave me an old drumcase to use for leads and stuff. Opened it up and there must have been a hundred grolsch strap locks in there. He was utterly baffled as I danced around the room.
I'm gonna save a pair and a spare pair for each of my basses but this is Basschat so a SAE gets you a pair. PM me for details.

OK. My name = mud. Here goes. The big pile of orange rings carefully separated from their swing tops and left out to be gazed at lovingly before putting somewhere safe have been mysteriously 'vanished' from our house. A handful survived thanks to my untidiness (which apparently is something to do with the strange disappearance of the rest) (I name no names here for my own safety) so a few lucky readers will still get some but the big give away is now much more limited.

Anyone tried THESE?

Pablo,

If you buy Grolsh in the flip - top bottles, you can use the rubber sealing washer on the lid to strech over your strap button when your strap is in place, which secures the strap. Same principle as in the link above.

I havent tried them but at £3.50 they seem like a bit of a rip off if you ask me. Cheaper to try the dunlop ones http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pair-original-DUNLOP...1QQcmdZViewItem

I know they are the same price but you will get them cheaper in a music store and they are tried and tested. I used them on my Westone (weighs an absolute ton) until I got a set of Schallers.
