I use Undercover cover gigbags with all my equipment. I get them from BassCentral in the states which means you do have to pay shipping, but they really are great gigbags. The padding is excellent, strap placement is a little high but they do the job more than amply.

Thanks mate, I appreciate the effort. I did email them, but didn't receive a reply. It would be great if Mark Bass released a gig bag that would carry both a bass and the MB LMII, plus a few bits and bobs. emm... I might just email them about that.

Failing that, if anyone has any other suggestions for a good gig bag that would accomodate a Mark Bass head, do tell!

Bought one of those ritter double bags that you put your bass in from the bottom most excellent probabbly done in the region of 500 gigs with it. Weighs a ton with two basses but there you go. Have a Warick case that came with my warick its okay and does the trick but is abit flimsy. I like the idea of a leather case any one any experiences?

My flight case is great but never gets used so I supose I should sell it...

Can anyone remember the place that makes aluminium cases with foam inside so you can cut your own shape? I want to get one to put my bass and XT Pro inside with the plug and in-ears, so I have it all in one case. The rack unit is really shallow so would fit in the gap next to the neck. The bass could even be angled in the case to allow more padding between the bits.

I seem to remember the place sold the cases for about £100, but can't find it now!

Whatever gig bags Warwick put their T-bird shaped and Buzzard basses in would be a good place to start.

As a suggested alternative to the incase slim bag from talkbass theres the Protec Contego Bass Guitar Case. Haven't used one but it looks pretty good and coming in at £85 in comaprison to £150 for the incase maybe more, and the fact tribal planet GX40 cases have been disscontinued, looks like a good buy.

I use a mixture of cases -

All of my acoustics are in Hiscox cases. I like these and they seem pretty indestructible.

My Les Paul lives in a TKL case but I've found that it scratches badly and the stitching seems vulnerable.

My Telecaster and my Squier VM Precision live in Coffin Cases. How good they are for protection I don't know as I haven't really gigged them yet but for looks they are great! Website is here : Coffin Cases

I also have a fibreglass case for my mandolin but it seems to ding and scratch badly as well.

I recently bought two Warwick cases of the condensed foam type, lightweight and strong. They were about £30 each from Tomman. I took the bulky pocket off the front and put on a couple of stickers and now I think I have a nice set of decent cases for my babies:




Spoke to poptart at Bass Direct RE incase bags as I fancy a double bass bag and he is hopefully going to get a few in stock so if you fancy one give him a shout - the more people interested the more worthwhile it will be for him to get some.

+1000 on the Gator hardcase for bass, it's crap. Thinking of skipping mine and buying a good case that actually fits any bass I own. I've heard Stagg bass cases are even worse. The hardcase that came with my Stingray is fantastic though, purpose built fitted case which is slim and light and robust.

those warwick tolex cases look like great value at around £40, I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had experience with them.

Exactly what i thought, i'd love one just for the vintage look, give it a good drag around on the pavement first (and at £40 i can almost afford to do so... ALMOST haha)

Haha i think you'll be pretty safe, nice looking cases and warwick rockbags are alright, i mean warwick are hardly stagg are they? If you decide to take the gamble though, let me know what it's like? I might consider getting one if they're any good.

I've got one of the Warwick Rockbass hardcases (came with the Aerodyne via GuitarEmporium), it's not listed on Warwick's site, but apart from being a heavy thing, it's really solid.

Can't really go wrong with the Warwick imo for storage or carrying to/from car, just don't try to walk long distances with it.
