I can't express how much I enjoying watching, listening, trying to understand how he does it all on double bass....here is a playlist I made of I think all of his vids on youtube. If I really concentrate on the closing Oscar Peterson solo, I can just make out the chord progression of the original song ... I can't imagine how his mind works. Has to be said it's so far distant from my current upright skills that it'll be some time before before I delve into this stuff again. Looked online to find out who the bassist was, saw the acronym and remembered seeing it on BC. I taped a later showing and have watched it four times since. Brilliant player. I recently started on the mammoth task of transcribing NHOP...I think I may just try to play them on electric, much easier than on upright! It was a promo for Bang & Olufsen and released on through B&A, which I bought at their jazz cafe gig in London a few years ago.
