Waldo
I've seen some bands using them and they do sound pretty cool. Sounds like a proper synth, not a cheap-o one.

Spikyhedgehog
My old singer has one. They are so goddamn fun to jam too! Especially as it has all the technodancecrap settings. Hilarious!
thumbo
Buy one! They sound amazing, really versatile and phat as hell! All things considered, they're pretty cheap too.
acidbass
A LOT of bands in Northern Ireland use these, they're damn versatile as mentioned above. I managed to get a little play around with one in Sound Control Leicester, and it was quite daunting to figure out all the sounds available, especially to me who knows next to nothing about keyboards! I'd say if you played around with it for a day or so with the manual in hand, you'd have it sussed though.
dr.funk
Ive been looking at these and the alesis micron. There are some good videos of both on youtube for comparison. I like the vintage cool of the microkorg but the alesis seems better in every way really..
Mokl
One of my friends raves about his constantly (his MicroKorg, I mean). I am quite envious of him. Let us know if you bite the bullet!

Thanks! BOB[/quote] These are an absolutely fantastic piece of kit! Ive only tried them out (extensively i may add) in the shop, but i was heartily impressed with it. The vocoder is great fun! I think they're worth every penny, so even better if you get one second hand.

Toasted
All, and I do mean ALL the bands in Leeds have one. They're really annoying.
thumbo
We used one in my old band just a for a bit of ambiance and fatness! You've got to be careful not to be overkill with this unit though, else it sounds CHEEEZE! www.myspace.com/highwillhays
