1.
A bit late in the day now, but I believe those are copies of the KK series MOLEX connectors. They're really designed to be crimped so be careful not to overdo the solder on them or you'll struggle like hell to get the insert into the housing.
Yup, I got the Chinese knock-offs! Molex gear looks great though! My soldering iron is smoking in anticipation...
2. Buy a John East or a Sadowsky preamp. They both have an active/passive switch. Done!
3. FOUND IT !!!! They are called 5.08mm pitch connectors / 2-pin. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300929427722?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 I wish my amp had come with two of these. But, it didn't. $5.5 to this guy in China + a bit of soldering should do the trick.
4. The jumpers look much bigger than the typical PC hard-drive ones.
5. Oh Grand Wizards of the PCB boards, I have left London a few months back for the US. I'm trying to convert my Markbass MB1000 from 220v to 110v. I understand the trick with the jumpers, and I have located the where it needs to go. The problem is: I don't have any such jumpers and I don't know where to find them. The closest thing I have found is this: http://www.macpalace.com/922-5249-cable-jumper-110v-selector-analog-board.html So expensive!!! and not sure they will fit. Question: where can I get jumpers??????
6. I like him and you can't go wrong with Manu Katche on drums!
7.
Seriously disappointed at the context in which the word "slap" is used in this thread. This should go in the "Off Topic" forum where I can talk about my chronic masturbation problem.
Since when is masturbation a problem???? It's the sign of a healthy organ according to specialists...
8. I remember reading that the impedance of headphone was somewhat important for the sort of use. I don't remember how exactly. But, there are different impedances whether you plug into MP3 or a studio mixing deck. It would be worth checking what best matches your setup.

10. Veuillez agréer Monsieur de mes salutations groovalistiques distinguées.
11.
You certainly can use a VT Bass as a pre-amp. I used one as a pre into my power amp and it was great. I'm currently using a DHA VT1 EQ as a pre-amp and it's fantastic.
Same here. You can drive a power amp with a VT bass pedal. Not sure, it's exactly how it should be used from a gain/impedance perspective. But, it does sound great.
12. less of a rip off, compared to the fender mark king series discussed earlier on BC...
13. GORGEOUS!!!
14. We need to spend our way out of the recession. Buying tons of bass gear is a better choice IMHO than spending money on lame infrastructure works.
15. I love mine and I am holding to it. I have used it countless of times for gigs. Typically, plugged into a radial DI and going to the front house. It's a GREAT piece of kit. My few complaints: 1) It needs a DI !!!!! 2) I find it a little weak in the compression department. I'd like to be able to tweak more parameters 3) The distos/overdrives sound a bit thin 4) It took 2,000 years for line 6 to release Windows 7 drivers
