1. Cheers for the interest guys, I have someone lined-up to take the ampeg this weekend, if that falls I'll update you all on here. The Trace is still up for grabs. Thanks! Jak
2. - AMPEG AND TRACE BOTH NOW SOLD - PLEASE REMOVE AD - THANKS! - 1) My trusty Ampeg SVT 810 cabinet believed to be from 1989. £275 I've owned it for the past 5 years and it sounds fantastic paired-up with almost any bass amp head. I used a Hartke LH500 and it worked a treat. Bought it from a guy down south who fitted an old American number plate on the back as a footplate for moving it around. The Tolex is pealing in many areas, and has some gaffer tape covering some bits. Overall its a bit scruffy but I've seen a lot worst and its structurally sound as anything. A bit of cosmetic T.L.C wouldn't go amiss but it could be left as is. It sounds fantastic, I'm GUTTED to be selling it but due to lack of use, its weight and the fact I now live on a second floor flat it has to go. It's collection only from Chorlton in South Manchester, you can come and test it too at a reasonable hour of course! I'll help you move it downstairs but its at least a two man job so be prepared for lifting and have decent transport. I've priced it for selling on Basschat rather than ebay etc, I've bought and sold a few items on here and like the community feel so think its priced fairly. 2)Trace Elliot 410 cabinet. SOLD I bought it along with a Trace Head a few months ago. It's had the original drivers replaced with some celestons (Sorry, I don't know what model) and makes a good practice cabinet. It's been painted black and has a few chips here and there. The rear inputs have been replaced with speak-on inputs, and is rated at 8ohms. It sounds good but does fart out/rattle a bit when pushed (I play very low dub bass lines so its not ideal for me.) Recommended as a practice cabinet or refurb job so priced accordingly. Pick-up from Manchester as above. Please PM me for any more info. I can email you more pics on request. Collection from South Manchester only. Thanks for looking! Regards, Jak

4. Thanks for the welcome guys- the bike happens to be hanging on the wall behind but it could make a good escape option for the next time we get booed off stage!!
5. Ha! Well we had a classic 50/50 sunshine rain day today:) Thanks for the welcome- appreciate it. Yeah I'll keep you posted about our next gig, its looking to be sometime around May but waiting on confirmation/availability of my bandmate. Do you gig regularly? All the best Jak
6. Thanks for the welcome and kind words!
7. Thanks fella, it's my first Trace rig and I've not even opened it up volume wise yet- can't wait to give it a full shake down and get a decent EQ dialed in. I'd just like to say that V4 head of yours is a thing of beauty, I imagine it sounds amazing played though anything! That goes for the other gear on here too- beautiful!
8. Yeah those BFC cabs look like monsters! Bet hooked up they sound great though. A few years ago in my naivety and on impulse, I bought an pretty beat up Ampeg 810 cab on the cheap via eBay- thats without checking the weight of the things first. Big mistake. Thought I was the dogs b's on my way to get it and I didn't understand why the guy selling it was so happy to see me.... when the suspension of my old volvo dropped by 3inches upon its first loading in, I understood then. I used it about 3 times out of the house after that. (second floor flat keep in mind!) Lesson learnt! It does sound great though and I still can't bring myself to part with it Recently got into old Trace gear, even though its all fairly heavy- its still more practical than that old 810. To me, Trace amp and cabs feel so well built and that they could take a beating no matter what.
9. Hi, I'm relatively new to the forum and just wanted to add my newly completed rig to the list. AH250 series V head with 1048 (no tolex or carpet- just painted black) and 1518T green carpet. The 1048 has been refitted with newer celestion drivers (I've not checked which type yet)- it was thrown into a deal with the AH250 which is in really good nick. I'm considering either a repaint/re-tolex or re-carpet at some point put will start a new thread for that job! The green 1518T was a really good deal and acquired from a fellow basschatter - it sounds ace as part of a stack or its own. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:187113] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:187114] I'm loving all this Trace porn- keep it coming!
10. Hi there, Just wanted to jump in and say hello to everyone, I'm Jak, 28 and based in Manchester. Currently part of a two-piece experimental dub/dance group. I originally signed-up to basschat about 5 years ago but I've never really got involved in posting anything- I just liked the technical forums. After getting some serious G.A.S for a big Trace Elliot rig a couple of months ago, I returned. Over the last couple of weeks I've managed to sell, trade and buy a few things through here and met some really cool people on the way. Would love to meet a few more like-minded people through here too! I'm partial to Trace Elliot gear and Westone basses. P.S. Attached a pic of my recently assembled TE rig- achieved with help from Basschat Cheers, Jak
11. Just wanted to say it was a pleasure to sell my bass to only4, he was great to communicate with and we completed the deal quickly and easily. All the best, Jak
