  1. Thanks for the heads up Douglas, have registered on the site and will try to make contact.
  2. Hi, could any one point me in the direction of a 1960/61 Hofner solid bass, I had one back in the 60s and regret selling it, also can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Steve Russell at the Vintage Hofner web site, cant find any contact details.
  3. Thanks guys, so it was only a prototype, pity it looks like a nice bass guitar,
  4. Hi folks, In the late 70s early 80s Fender produced the Lead series of guitars, in the references I have found they say that a Lead Bass was also made can anyone provide a description or photo.
  5. My bass came straight off the shelf from Frank Hessey in Liverpool, it was not a special order.
  6. Sold it back in the 70s, replaced by a P-bass, it will haunt me to the grave.
  7. Way back in the 1965 I bought a Gibson EB-3, serial No 198499, I was looking at some pictures on the web and noticed that all the 60s bases I found had dot inlay necks, my question is when did Gibson start putting block inlays on the necks. My bass was built in 1964 and had block inlays.

    Hellow

Hi there. My name is Dave, 63 years old from Ormskirk Lancs, now living in Wyoming USA. I stopped playing bass in the late 60s but I recently started again. Any how apart from saying hellow I was wondering if my old bass is still floating about out there, it was a Gibson EB3 and my name and address was scratched on the back of the controll panel cover. It would be nice to see a photo of my old bass. Dave.
