  1. Are they all XL roughly? AHH didn’t read properly, I see the Harvests have already gone. Bugger.
  2. There’s a black Corvette for £500 on Reverb. It’s been there a while. The seller claims that it’s been serviced and restored to “like new”. You can clearly see that close up that is not the case, but it could be worth a look. Fortress is a good choice, I have one, great bass.
  3. “My original Jazz bass has a couple of dead spots, I just learnt to play around them” - Marcus Miller You could have a raised fret there somewhere…… is the note choking or buzzing?
  4. Ditto 👆🏻 If I had the funds I’d be all over this.
  5. Absolutely take your time. However German Warwick’s can be had on the used market for 500 quid. I would never go for a Rockbass when MIG basses are out there for that price. The “entry level” German made Streamer Standard is a great bass, I love mine as much as the more expensive models I have. Lower output, but fabulous tone. I would be all over one of those rather than a Chinese version all day long. A lot of folk turn their noses up at that particular model, claiming it to be inferior, basic, low output. It was the forerunner to the Rockbass line, but MIG, and is a great little bass IMO.
  6. Same year as mine, classic era Warwick, awesome.
  7. I have 3 90s Warwicks….. and I’ve had a few others in the past. Fabulous bases…… but……. be careful of the Warwick neck twist….. it’s a thing. I’ve had experience of a couple of Warwick basses (not the current ones) with a twisted (not bowed/relief) neck (at the nut). I had a lovely $$ that was just unplayable because of it. Just something to watch out for.
  8. All good here. We’re picking up new venues on a regular basis, and there seems to be a healthy rock/metal scene with loads of young bands around. Brilliant for us, and we seem to have some sort of appeal with a younger crowd who are into our old school NWOBHM vibes.
  9. BBs are absolutely the best. I’ve had a few. I miss my 3000S very much. This is a great price for a stellar instrument.
  10. This was in my old Greco Thunderbird (put in by the previous owner). Absolutely full working order, everything is there. I used the bass last night with this in it, sounded absolutely stellar….. except not like a Thunderbird to me, so out it came this morning. I’ve returned the bass back to passive this afternoon. So it’s good to go into your bass…. Vol/Vol/ stacked bass/treble. *it is NOT a James HOT loom, I just used the packaging from the new loom to mount this one for postage. £75 sound fair? Price includes delivery.
  11. Thundercat. I really don’t get the hype at all. I’ve tried and failed to get into anything he’s done. Oh…… and Mono Neon. Don’t understand.
  12. Trust me you could smell it here while I was loading the washing machine this morning. Actually that’s a lie…. Mrs Rayman loaded the washing machine.
  13. Good one last night in Stockport. Very hot in there, but a great crowd, even though they were half our age, they were into it. Way too much bass in the monitors, put me off a bit, but apparently it sounded decent out front.
  14. Ashdown EVOII ABM 500 combo and ex cab. A bit much for the front room maybe? Absolutely love the Ibanez Jet Star. A modest little bass for noodling at home, but a lot of fun, very comfortable to play and sounds fantastic, plus it was a gift from Mrs Rayman.
  15. Happy Mondays in Manchester on Thursday night….. great gig, and great support from the Inspiral Carpets and Stereo MCs. Get your 80s on.
