1. I would love that bass. Missed out on a black one on eBay before Xmas but £1000 is a bit too pricey for me tho.
2. I’m after a Classic Vibe P Bass. Thought about taking a chance with the black 70’s one with the block inmates on the maple fret board but prefer the P/J configuration. Any pics of this? Only problem for me is I’m in NE Scotland.
3. Initially I thought...great bass. I want it. Then realised how long ago the ad was posted! Question is.... Is it still for sale?
4. Thanks for the advice. Did all the things suggested and It all points to a faulty pre-amp. Norris, that would be great. Not sure if I should stay "original" or go modern?
5. Cheers for the info. I think I'll go with trying a replacement pre-amp first. Looked for those Prostheta types on ebay but had no luck. Any links? Thanks.
6. Hi Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. My '84 SB1000 seems to have no oooomph when used in active mode. However Passive seems fine. Brand new 9v batteries have been fitted. Would this simply be down to a faulty pick up? or pre-amp? and how do I check? I've seen online a replacement BB noise killer preamp for £40. Worth a punt? Any advice appreciated. W.

8. Fantastic looking bass. Been after one for a while now. Would you consider posting to Aberdeen? Thanks.
9.
There was a massive discussion - that got very heated - about a year ago that basically asked if it was acceptable to 'flip' basses for profit. Essentially - a bass is worth whatever you want to pay for it. You only get ripped off if you get conned into paying more than it is worth to you. "Worth" is a tricky concept...
To a certain degree I agree with you. Nothing wrong with making a bit of cash on your instrument. My issue is with folks who blatantly do it for 'big profit' and lie when asked for information. I missed out on an Aria SB1000 on eBay at the tail end of last year. It went for £670 and I was kicking myself as it was a nice bass. Only a few days later I got a response to my "SB1000 Wanted" advert from the same guy who won the eBay auction for the bass I missed out on. He wanted £1450 for the very same bass he paid only £670 for!! ( I know it was the same bass as the serial numbers matched) When I quizzed him about it and asked why he was selling it so quickly after buying it he said that he was new to bass and it was wasted on him. Strange bass for a newbie? He also claimed he wasn't a "trader/seller/buyer" He has since over the last month got in contact with me again, via a different advert I have up, offering another SB1000 for a +£1K price and he also has 2 on eBay at the minute for prices around £1250. He's also had adverts on Gumtree for SB's around the Cardiff/Monmouth/Midlands area. And he claims and doesn't 'buy and sell"?? Like I say.....making a bit of cash is one thing but blatantly lying to squeeze every penny out of a punter?
10. Crackin lookin bass. If it wasn't for the fact I'm after an SB1000 i'd be taking this. Love the pearl white finish. I have an Aria SB 505 which has a similar neck to yours but I prefer the parallel neck on the SB1000. Have a bump and GLWTS.

12. Hi, Im interested in this. I currently use a Stingray 5 and Im looking for something a bit different. In your opinion how far apart are they in how they sound? Cheers Wayne.
13. Very impressive indeed. Great playing a super sounding bass. GLWTS.
