  1. Another thumbs up for Tim who bought some strings. Perfect deal as always.
  2. Brand new unopened set of LaBella 760FM-P Flatwound Strings made specifically for Squier Mini-P Bass. Before I had a chance to fit these I sold the bass back to the original owner. £25 posted to the UK.
  3. Tim approached me to see if I would see if I would sell back to him the Mini P that I bought a few months ago. How could I refuse. Transaction was smooth as always. You can deal with him with total confidence.
  4. Mooer Groove Loop Digital Drum Machine/Looper in original box. 20 minute recording time with unlimited overdubs 8 genres of rhythm with 2 variations each 3 different modes: Looper, Drum, Looper + Drums £30 posted to UK.
  5. Very sad to be missing this. Have a good one and please post lots of pictures.
  6. I was really looking forward to heading up to Taunton again this year but my plans have been thwarted as Mrs OBBM has acquired tickets to see Chris McCausland at the Hall for Cornwall that afternoon. We don't many big names down here as it's a bit off the beaten track and, anyway, it would more than my life's worth to decline. I'll try and get there next year.
  7. Have to agree with you about Sadowsky strings. Until recently I had original Blue label flats on my Metro HPJ for the last 10 years. They have just been replaced with the newer formulation Blue label. I have also put the latest Blue labels on my MM USA Sterling. When funds allow I shall get a set for my '71 Jazz. Very happy with them.
  8. I have just had the pleasure of relieving Tim (dodgnofski) of his Squire Mini Precision bass. What a wicked little bit of kit. I contacted Tim and told him that I wanted it but as I was just about to go on holiday he was happy to sit on the deal until I returned last Friday. It was a faultless financial transaction and the instrument arrived today well packed and exactly as described. If the situstion arises I will have no hesitation in dealing with him again.
  9. The first music shop I encountered was George Potter in Aldershot in 1963. They were mainly involved in providing instruments for military bands but hada few guitars and basses. It was there that I bought my first real bass, a Framus Star bass. The following year a brand new shop opened just 10 miles away in Guildford called Andertons, and the rest is history. I also remember visiting Monkey Business in Romford when I happened to passing on business. Not strictly a music shop but I bought my first real amp, a Linear 30, from Radio Component Specialists (RCS) in Croydon. That was followed by 4 Bakers Group 25 speakers which were fitted into a cabinet the same size as a Marshall 4 x12. When I briefly worked in London in 1965 I used to break my journey from Waterloo to Islington at Leicester Square and walk up Tottenham Court Road gazing into Macaris and all the other music shops, especially the shop under Centre Point. Alas I had no spare money for any more gear then.
  10. Likewise. 🤣
  11. If you like Sadowsky build and tone then find one of these Metros. Plenty of thump. It's been my go to for over 10 years.
  12. Actually I used the board as is last night at rehearsal. I was not aware of any noise and no-one else mentioned anything although it was in true bypass all evening.
  13. Not had a chance to check it out fully yet but I'll report back if anything untoward occurs.
  14. Finally got an answer to this problem from Line 6. Seems like it is a known software bug which the development team are aware of. It would appear that this has been known about for quite some time but they have done nothing about it. Their suggestion was to try a different PC, so I instlled the software onto Mrs OBBM's laptop and it worked just fine. My HX One is now up to date. 🙂
