  1. If you like Sadowsky build and tone then find one of these Metros. Plenty of thump. It's been my go to for over 10 years.
  2. Actually I used the board as is last night at rehearsal. I was not aware of any noise and no-one else mentioned anything although it was in true bypass all evening.
  3. Not had a chance to check it out fully yet but I'll report back if anything untoward occurs.
  4. Finally got an answer to this problem from Line 6. Seems like it is a known software bug which the development team are aware of. It would appear that this has been known about for quite some time but they have done nothing about it. Their suggestion was to try a different PC, so I instlled the software onto Mrs OBBM's laptop and it worked just fine. My HX One is now up to date. 🙂
  5. My work here is done - for now. Having considered putting an HX Stomp on my board I finally opted for an HX One on the basis that I rarely use effects and then only one at a time. Also swapped out the Mooer baby tuner for a Boss TU-2. It all runs from a battery.
  6. I recently bought a Line 6 HX One and need to update the firmware to v3.80. According to Line 6 I need to use their HX Central software which I have downloaded and installed however when trying to run it I get an error message saying that “Line 6 Central cannot run with Administrator Privileges”. So far I have confirmed that the ”Run as Administrator” box is unchecked in the shortcut and the .exe Properties but that has not helped. I have also tried creating a non-Administrator User Account on the PC and still nothing. Has anyone come across this problem and found a fix because it is really annoying me? BTW HX Edit for my Stomp works fine but I also get the same problem with HX Librarian.
  7. In the past I have had fretless MIJ Fender Jazz, a Godin A5 and a Rob Allen Mouse. About 3 years ago I bought a Sterling SB14 which I had converted to fretless by Julyan Wallis, the Guitar Doctor. For a long time I never had the courage to play fretless live but eventually did it with my last band.
  8. Don't know how I missed this in 2011. First Bass: Framus Star Bass, short scale, 1964 Go To Bass: Sadowsky Metro Hybrid PJ My Bass: Sadowsky Metro Hybrid PJ
  9. I finally have a buyer and we are meeting in Plymouth next week to hopefully conclude the deal. This gives me a chance to once again ride the GWR main line from Truro to Plymouth over Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge. Hopefully Win, Win.

  12. Small world. I left Cornwall in 1956 and moved back 5 years ago. Now live in Mylor Bridge.
  13. This may have been tried before but the two parts of the P pickup make a humbucker. Have you tried rotating one piece through 180 degrees?
