2.
Bump! Gotta keep it on the first page, y'allz!
I'm assuming the ebay guy wasn't interested then?
 3.
I could easily sell it, but I can't risk not haing an amp for any period of time =]
This is what you're after isn't it? 4.
(futile?) bump!
NEVER GIVE UP! (But if you do give up on the trade I'm sure you could easily sell it)
 5. If this does turn out to be too much of a long shot, how much would you sell it for? Or maybe you'd like to buy my car? It has a fair sized boot!
 6.
That looks a lot of bass for the money, not sure how much ther r new, but active, strung thru, nice finish, bet it wouldnt look half as sexy in a solid colour.....
Yeah, I like to think it's a lot of bass for the money too. You can buy it if you like. I think the solid colour versions of the Fender Lyte don't have the same body wood or the same pickups. This one has a soap bar instead of a J. It's deffinately got a wide range of tones with the electronics it has.

 11.
hi mate, Are you open to trades...if so, i've got a Fender USA Jazz (1999) 4 string up for grabs at £595 (recently had a fret stone and full set up at the gallery costing £100). I'm in Grantham, so not far from you... If that's of interest, could you please let me know how old the bass is? Thanks Jamie
Hi! I've just been to: http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx ...to decode the serial number on the headstock and it told me that... Your guitar was made at the Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan in the Year(s): 1995 - 1996 I am very interested in a USA jazz bass but I have a few bills coming my way so I'm not looking to spend much. Let me know what kind of numbers you are thinking of in this trade and I'll have a serius think. (I don't mind if you reply or PM me.) Oh yeah! What colour/finish is your bass and what condition is it in? I think the photos show the condition of the Lyte quite accurately.
 12.
How much does it weigh?
My bathroom scales tell me that it's 3.2kg, I guess that's only about 7lbs. I guess it's called a 'precision lyte' for a reason.
 13.
This is muchos sexy. Have a bump. I wish i had money Looking for a cabinet by any chance?
It would depend on the cabinet I guess...I don't have the muscle to for an 8x10" if it's the one in your gear list though!
 14.
Most shops will give you roughly 50-60% of what they think they can sell it at if you buy something of greater valve. Some shops will charge 15% to sell it for you. I looked around and these basses are £1100 new street price. Thomann sell them for £900. £850 used might be ok if it's mint but i can understand raised eyebrows at the use of the word bargain. Personally I use the ration of 50%-75% of the street price new cost depending on how popular the item is at any given time. Obviously the general financial state of this country has ift's effect. The only thing I could see being really expensive are rare stuff like Roscoes. However these are going at £900-1100 on this forum. Faced with that your bass is IMHO priced a little high. You can put your bass up at whatever you like. THis forum has a tradition of commenting on prices. Like it or hate it. So IMHO keep the bass. By a beater and play that for a while. It will be cheaper than selling yours for something similar. Chris
Thanks for the advice...I like the openess of basschat people. There are a lot of numbers going on in your reply, so... I'm open to any reasonable offers for the bass. Thanks again Chris.
