  2. Lost my mojo when my wife died and bands lead singer commited suicide. I haven't found the desire to start again. I have not sold any gear yet as I am hoping to get it back
  3. Jo, my condolences go to you and your family.
  4. Thank you for your posts. Sometimes, I feel isolated . Then, you become self-absorbed. I know I was not the only one who has suffered, but it's heartwarming when others share their experiences. Thank you
  5. I haven't picked up mybass for around 10 months. I lost my wife 18 months ago and have had various medical problems since. I look at my bass every day but the enthusiasm seems to have gone. My wife was a big encouragement to me and I think is partly whats missing. Has enyone else felt like this or had a similar experience? Did your enthusiasm return and how did you achieve it
  6. Amazing. I couldn't find any reference to my bass, and low and behold there it is despite checking pmt. Thank you. It has put my mind to rest and thank you for your advice
  7. In July, I purchased a Musicman StingRay 5 special, Rasberry burst from a UK retailer for £2999. I have been doing some recearch on current prices for insurance purposes and the only bass that looks similar is a Sub £500 version I have put the serial number into the Ernie Ball website but it dosent tell you which value bass it is. Appart from ringing America, as their customer contact form dosen't appear to be working, is there any way, preferably in the UK, where my bass can be verified as to whether is worth £2999 or alot less Thanks for reading my post and your input
  8. Sorry I couldn't join you. My son finished work at 03.30 Sunday morning and I'm taxi service. Didn't want to risk driving the 3 hour each way trip from Norfolk. I'm not as young as I used to be!
  9. Can we just pitch up on the day or will it cause problems for you.?
  10. I'd pop over from Norfolk, at this time any saturday is free
  11. I have been looking to purchase a new set of strings and l realise I don't understand if the difference in size affects the tonal quality of the string. Does one give a tighter sound and a bigger string more growl. Is there much to gain by putting .40 as apposed to .45 for the E string or .120 .125 or .130 for the B string and so on for the other strings. Or dose just boil down to how they feel?
