1. Hey! Excellent pickup, certainly the best I tried on my bass. But trying to simplify my setup and work with a mic only for now. So, here's an excellent condition Lifeline available for one lucky bassist Will include free P&P within the UK. Douglas.
 2. I bought a Fender Aerodyne. Super friendly, fuss-free transaction. A pleasure Steve, thanks!
 3. I can send you pics tonight when I'm at home, sure. PM me your e-mail address. No trades, just hard cash. Ha ha
 4. Selling my Realist pickup. I bought it a couple of months ago from an official UK dealer. At first didn't get a chance to try it on my bass, when I eventually did, I decided it wasn't a good match for my instrument. Unfortunately the dealer can't take it back, so here it is for sale. Essentially new, in original retail box. Will ship for free in the UK. Bank transfer only, please, or payment in cash if you are local and picking it up. I'm based in Glasgow.

 8.
I'd take the Ray Brown and Ed Friedland books, I'm not an upright player (yet!) though! Give me a shout if you don't find a buyer for the whole lot =)
Really hope to sell as a bundle, but will keep your offer in mind, thanks!
 9. . A mix of study/method books. If you're a beginner to intermediate looking to get your walking lines and soloing in shape, you'll find these books invaluable. A really nice mix of technique and method/inspiration stuff here.

Ray Brown's Bass Method · Essential Scales, Patterns & Exercises
The Evolving Bassist · Rufus Reid
Primer Scale & Arpeggio Fingerings · Dr. Morton
Technical Foundation Studies for Double Bass, vol.1 (Open Hand Technique) · Thomas B. Gale
Technical Foundation Studies for Double Bass, vol.2 (Thumb Position) · Thomas B. Gale
Practical Studies for Double Bass · Thomas B. Gale
Melodic Foundation Studies Studies for Double Bass · Thomas B. Gale
Expanding Walking Bass Lines (inc. CD) · Ed Friedland
The Dr. Morton and Thomas Gale stuff I imported from the US, so I guess they're quite hard to get hold of here. Although thought of as more classically oriented, there's nothing to get your jazz chops in shape like good solid classical scales and arpeggio practice. The Ed Friedland book, although targeted at electric bass, has a great play along and it is normal notation with chord symbols, so just as good for us double bassists. The Rufus Reid and Ray Brown books... well, I'm sure you're all familiar with those. £35 for the lot which represents over 60% off UK prices. I'm in Poland. Will ship within the EU for £7.50 Pictures below are of the actual items. Condition of everything excellent. They are used, but I take good care of my books!
 10.
Douglas, I just bought a bass, and I live in the United States, so I'm not in the market. But I have to say, I listened to the video you posted. That bass sounded like many I've heard in the $15,000 range. Very impressive. And your playing was great too. On that video - how was the bass amplified? I'm just curious because the sound was so big and pure. I couldn't see an amp. But surely it wasn't unamplified straight from the stage? I also couldn't see a microphone.
Only just saw this post, so sorry for the delayed response! Thanks very much for the nice comments. Yes, the Bryant is staggering value for money - it's a bit rough end ready, but after a bit of tweaking and decent set up it's a reliable and solid instrument. No amplification on this gig, purely acoustic. Douglas.
