A friend of mine told me once that when he uses a capo on guitar he looks lazy, but when I do it I look arty :) I've always used them on bass when needed.

Spector ? Check. Capo ? Check Badass muthafocker ? Check

In the end I found I didn't care too much for the sound of the unit. Nothing at all wrong with the kit - it's FuzzDog's usual quality stuff - just found it not my thing. It's on my mental list to go back and tweak a bit, but that list is long and my time short !

My bass tone gets affected, effected, but never impacted.
