Ive been using a roland db210 at smaller gigs and ive just got a peavey VB-MA rig with the 410 and 118 matching cabs , at bigger gigs /festivals I just turn up and plug into whatever is onstage and listen to the monitor sound when I am not running about and pulling faces at punters whilst leaning over a monitor for a great picture...pmsl . But for a top notch sound sometimes ive gone TOTP and fed the album sound through the pa so i can just drink jd and ponce about whilst hitting any string that looks best because nobody in the audience can tell the difference... tube tranny or tape they don't care as long as you look good

Just remember the add on is 41% to whatever you buy , I was very very lucky that the site crashed out, which is no doubt why I won my auction , ill try it again next time though its well worth a punt, just need to find a 4 button peavey footswitch now and no doubt they wont have any lol

Hi ive just got a vb-ma rig and wondering what footswich fits it, ive seen the vb3 4 button one but will that work with the vb-ma head ?

Just swopped all my bass rig over to markbass , a ta503 head and std106hf cab for gig's of a decent size and a traveller 210 cab for rehearsal and small gig's . . Now i was wondering where to go and see the markbass line up at shows or exhibitions . . Also merchandise, cannot find anything markbass related apart from the amps and cabs . . . Any help appreciated . . mov....

Although i have a bad habit of upgrading every bass i buy i always keep the parts i remove to put back if i sell it. So sorry bassassin, i will be keeping the old pickups ... Our Kawai is like a new bass with no wear at all but if anyone is looking to buy the one off evilbay, i would compare it to a bolt on neck early aria in weight and size but i have got the action set very low and its very nice to play.. myspace.com/movwkd

No i can assure you its not a scam using the first one because its here on my lap now !! i've never come accross them before either till i got mine, the pickups were weak though so put a set of fender p & j on it ..

Just got my daughter a kawai bass off evilbay for a top price.. [ i think ] its a AQB550 Aquarius model, can anyone shed some light on this bass for me as i can find very little info about them on the net !! Ta..

Ohh no its ok to own one , its ok to play one if you cannot get hold of the real thing, but all hell and the demons of the rickenbacker legal department Will decend on you with furious anger and vengence should you attempt to sell it on evilbay.. Just say no.. lol

I have a 4003 ric and the sound from it is massive, i also have a fender MIA precision deluxe with seymour 1/4 pounders and a warwick corvette proline 5 the ric blows them all over the mix !! You need to look elseware for the problem as i run all my tools straight into a abm 500 evo 2 head with no problems.. Try the pickup height settings and the ric forum is good for tips.. Hope you get it sorted but if you sell it it will get you enough for any other top marque of bass !!..

A really nice aria sb elite 11 in a creamy white with gold hardware that i had since the early 80's.. Sold it to part finance a fender MIA precision deluxe that is still my mainstay bass.. Just wish i had the forsight to keep the aria until i had the cash for the fender, it was a really nice tool ..

The front split coil pickup on my fender USA deluxe precision made a buzz from day one.. I fixed this by carefully taking the pick guard off with the controls visible i ripped off the wires to the front pickup and soldered a Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder in its place ... Job done, i then removed the bridge and chucked that in my useless fender parts bin and put a badass 2 bridge on it .. Fender wood's seem to be brilliant on the USA bass but the other bits are not in the same league as my Rickenbacker.. I presume fender mass produce to such a extent that they don't bother checking what they ship anymore !!
