  1. Hi guys, thanks for your messages, your support is pretty much appreciated!
  2. Bought this a couple of months ago and received it only last week due to covid lockdown. Well, that's a surprise, and not a very good one... The 12th fret indication (double dot) along the neck is oddly present at the 9th fret, and this is really extremely disturbing when playing (playing a 6 string is already somewhat challenging). I cannot understand how a luthier distributed now through bassdirect can make such an error, and I cannot understand how a professional player selling this bass did not even mention it (not even a hidden defect!). I've contacted both via basschat to try and solve that issue: the seller tomuks79 did not even reply, and Christian (from Grosmann) has a "banned" status here now, so let's see how this will be handled... Just wanted to share here that poor experience 😞
  3. Traded for a lovely ACG (thank you Sean!), topic can be closed.
  4. I've had the pleasure to make a trade with Sean: excellent communication, easy deal, a very nice bass received at the end, so to say a great BC member!
  5. to Itzing: 6 strings are not for me, nor are fretless, sorry...
  6. Hi recently bought here on this forum, in good conditions (small fracture on the neck repaired), a great bass, but 6 strings are far too much for me... Detailed information from the previous owner: "Many folks call these the Fodera of Europe. Well, attention to detail, quality of electronics and woods are very, very, close. This bass sounds a lot like fodera / duncan loaded 34 ". Imperials do 34 ", string spacing is adjustable: 18-19 mm. More specs: Bass culture foderaesque dual coils, John East preamp 3 band. alder body, purple heart tone block, chestnut top, maple neck, ebony fingerboard. The bass is in great condition, it looks great, (it shows only a few minor scratches), plays like butter and sounds wonderful! A very very resonant bass that is also very light:4,1 kg". Current pictures are available on this link: https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1150790 My price is 1450 euros (or 1070 pounds). The bass is located in paris, and can be shipped anywhere in Europe for 70 euros. It will come in a case. Possible trades: fender jazz bass american vintage 62 or 64, yamaha bb2024X, musicman stingray classic 4, sadowsky metro 4. Best regards philippe
  7. Benn and I could come to an agreement, Benn supporting the repair so that I can keep the Chronos which I have started to appreciate very much. This confirms Benn is a reliable seller.
  8. Dear all, I'm happy my message on the forum could reestablish communication with the buyer after a somewhat stressing silence period for me. I will post the exact pictures I sent to Benn, when I have solved the quota issue I face when trying to attach a file. I did not damage the bass myself, asking afterwards for money to have it repaired. The fracture is not a big one, I know, and can of course be fixed, but on a 1600€ instrument, not sure it does not change the value of the bass (in the eventuel case I would try to resale it in the future), and making things public was not an easy decision for me, especially for that reason. I do hope Benn and I will now find a proper way to solve this issue. Philippe
  9. bass received some time ago, with a fractured neck. still waiting for some interest from the seller. this may happen, I do hope.
