1. Combined Price: £650 Edit: User ebenezer has kindlt pointed out that this is the Series 2 cab, with eminence deltalite speakers. Apologies for any confusion, I've had it so long I didn't realise it was Series 2. ---- It's time to sell this absolute beast of a rig. I'm downsizing, since I live in a small flat and don't need this power for the work that I do. This cab is amazing. Its super light-weight and super powerful. It has easily catered for every type of stage I've played on and just delivers on tone and clarity. I purchased it around 10 years ago from The Bass Gallery, brand new. The cab has seen some use and has no defects or damage, just normal cosmetic wear and tear. It is the 4ohm version. The amp is included as a kind of extra for a few reasons. I purchased this amp for an extremely low price at the time - the reason it was so cheap is because it is missing a capacitor on what I believe is the power regulator board (which I did not know), and also has a part loose on the inside. This has had very little effect on performance for the years I've used it, but since I need to clear space it has to go too. It would be a great project for someone who fancies soldering on a capacitor. It comes in this Aguilar 2U case (heavily used condition) with kettle lead and a nice long Speakon cable. Specs for both included below. I'm based in North London and would prefer collection. I'm not keen on shipping such a large item, however there's a possibility I can drop the items on the way to a gig outside London, depending on location. I would consider selling them separately but will need to check that I'm following the rules of the forum properly! Any questions then please do let me know. 2. ----NOW SOLD---- Hi Basschat. This bass has been a sturdy companion for many years, and has been superseded by a ’65 precision and is making way for a new guitar. Sunburst with tortoiseshell guard and rosewood neck. Currently strung with Rotosound Steels but sounds great with flats! Its in great condition and plays well with some minor dings (see attached pictures) - a few chips and a small amount of belt buckle rub on the back - I always find it adds to the charm. Dunlop strap lock buttons installed. The bass weighs 4kg. The nut width is 4cm (give or take a few mm). A hard-case is included in the price, its a road worn case with a crack in one of the corners (flying with a bass is never fun) but its fully functional. I would prefer collection or a London based visit (I live in north London and will happily travel on the tube network). Delivery available for £40 (UPS Standard Delivery) if necessary. Please feel free to ask any questions. 3. Just a quick bump to say I'm happy to accept offers for this. Send me a PM if you're interested!
  4. NOW SOLD -------- Price: £400 O.N.O. Does a man really need 3 double basses? Unfortunately the answer for me is 'no'. I must make a little space as I already have a new workhorse bass as well as a Czech Ease! This is a ply bass purchased many years ago in a small town shop. It's a ridiculously solid, great sounding beast - I used to take it around London and it fared very well. It's easy to play, with a fairly low action, and a great bass for someone starting out. It's had a set up, with a new bridge and new strings. It doesn't have a pickup (as I would mic it up on gigs), the foot-pin is a metal spike and it doesn't come with a case (although I never needed one as it's so solid). I'm not looking for a trade, and collection is preferred. Although I gig around the country and could in theory manage a visit depending on location. I am based in North London (Hendon), right at the bottom of the M1. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks, Tim ---- Pictures and a sample video attached (instagram). 5. Purchased Dan's TC Electronic BH800 head. Perfect sale all round. A thoroughly pleasant chap. Buy with utter confidence! Thanks Dan.
  6. Bought an OC-2 off this gentleman. Quick to respond, and even quicker to send. A pleasure dealing with him. Top stuff!
  7.
I'm very interested in buying your NS bass do you still have it for sale. Regards Steve
It is indeed still up for sale, PM sent.
  8. Item sold! I'm reluctantly selling my NS CR4M EUB due to writing off my car a week ago. I need to raise some funds to stay on the road, for good this time! The bass has both piezo and magnetic pickups with a Volume, Blend, Treble and Bass pot setup. There is also a selector switch for the vertical/horizontal piezo pickups. Included are a chrome tripod stand and a monopod stand with hip rest. A full description of the specs can be found on the NS website: http://thinkns.com/instruments/crbass.php There are a number of dents and marks on the bass due to gigging, but please be assured it plays well and is in good working order. The bass comes in a tube soft case with bubble wrap. The bass retails at around £2,000. My asking price is [s]£950[/s] £800 (O.n.o.). I'll throw in a bow for free too (pictured)! I'm based in Leeds but constantly travel around the UK gigging so it could be feasible to meet elsewhere for pickup. I can ship the item if needed at cost price. Any questions welcome! Here are a few examples of the cosmetic damage: Here's the monopod stand: Here's the bow:
  9. Jan was an excellent shout chaps! He was welcoming and even did some more work than just reseting the sound post. I'd highly recommend him to anyone in the Leeds area. He also makes and repairs violins, violas, cellos, guitars and anything else stringy. Problem solved!
  10. Bloody gone and let the sound post fall over in my Czech Ease like a proper amateur idiot! Does anyone know a place/person where I can get it reset, I don't have the special tool.
  11. I haven't posted on here in ages. What did I do to deserve such abuse? TIM

    Drum Festival

Hello there folks. The drummer in my band (Paul from Electro Music in Doncaster - you may have met him) has organised a drum festival for Sunday April the 11th at the State Club in Gainsborough. Very recently Mick Yates, his best friend and fellow drummer, past away sadly leaving a widow and young son. All of the proceeds will go to a trust fund for for Mick's son. I thought I should spread the word for my good friend, but also realised that a lot of you might be interested in the event. Paul has got in a very impressive list of drummers for the event:

Steve White (Paul Weller, The Style Council, Ian Dury, The Players, The Who, Trio Valore, Oasis)
Karl Brazil (Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis, Feeder, Elton John, Lionel Ritchie, Lemar, James Blunt)
Bobby Arechiga (Strongheart, John Parr, Journey)
Ian West (S Club, Peter Kay, Kenny Thomas, Doncaster Jazz Orchestra)
Errol Rollins (Ruby Turner, Human League, Dennis Rollins' Badbone & Co, Dina Carroll, Erroll Brown, Hot Chocolate, Doncaster Jazz Orchestra)
Dean Cousins (UK's number 1 Rush tribute band Bravado)
Full details of the event and online ticket sales can be found here. Or alternatively, they can be bought in Electro Music directly (tel: 01302 369999). Tickets are priced at £10 each and all proceeds will go into the trust fund for Mick Yate's son. Here is the Facebook event page, for those of you who like using it I'll be there for certain, so if you're coming down let me know and we can form some kind of bass playing collective... I know how much we like doing that on here! Many thanks guys, hope to see you there. Tim.
  13. Just to say, I've got pretty much exactly the same thing (although with Basslines Quarter Pounders). It's excellent, a powerful and satisfying tone!
