3. Here is a wee link to help you make your mind up, I am waiting for my SJ5 to arrive (J/J pickups) and then i will have 3 Dingwalls. https://www.dingwallguitars.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2287
4. Saw this on ebay if anybody interested http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Westone-Thunder-II-Bass-/160870600511?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2574a28f3f
5. I got my ABII and it came with dingwall gig bag and 5 allen keys (all colour coded) and a small booklet explaning how the different control layouts on all the dingwall range works (except combustion) and it all came in a clear pouch with my basses serial number, model and colour/finnish on it, i would contact the shop where you bought the bass in case they took it out by mistake, they should send it on to you, as for Sheldon and crew you wont get a better after sales service, i have had first hand experence there, and if that all fails pm me i could copy the booklet for you, but the allen keys can be bought here http://www.dingwallguitars.com/purchase/shop/category/accessories/
6. Your right it's just a couple of magnets, i thought mine didn't need them either, but i got them anyway, it doesn't boost the volume, it gives the B string even more definition, save a bit longer and go for an AB1 instead,
7.
Yep I'll be good when I'm 85 but too old to gig :-(
Your never to old to gig, I learnt a small bit of bass when i was a kid, met the now wife , stopped playing for a decade while we raised the kids and the usual, and had to re learn from scratch, kept pluging away and now i play in a functions band, and a bit of free lance jamming, and i'm still learning, got to play a theatre gig with a top class Neil Diamond act last week, my wife calls it my therapy, if you could bottle the rush you get from a good gig and sell it you would make a fortune, so Mr fretbuzz keep on playing and listen to everything and style you can, I'm 48 and on fri i played Neil Diamond & on sat I played everything from 60 70 80 even killers, kings of leon, train, even lady gaga, if you ever need help this is the place to ask
8. For me it was Phil Lynott, John Deacon,Bruce Foxton, Sting in the early days and then James Jamerson, loved the whole slap bass thing, i'm just crap at it.
9. Johhny M its the first version, mines identical, this one is 00033 and mines 00024, a great bass by any standard mind you i am gassing for a super J just like the one in your avatar, i also have an ABII, oh by the way Ben ask if it got the B string booster kit fitted, I got it fitted to mine and it gave the B string more definition, well worth the couple of quid and easy to fit.

12. Heres my new rig, I havent played it out yet but cant wait, I changed from an Ampeg stack to this, its small light weight and loud. These are the last 2 AE112's made at the factory.
13. Hi guys I'm thinking of selling my old (1992/93) Ampeg Combo, I am the original owner of this combo and its in very good condition, the only part not original is one control knob, i was using this weekly up until about 4 yrs ago, it comes with a very heavy duty flight case, hence the good condition of the amp for it's age, it has 2x10 + horn that can be turned off, and one of the loudest DI outs i have come across, I had no intention of selling this but not playing enough to justify having this as a spare, so i was wondering what to ask for it (money that is) I don't want to give away, and I don't want to ask to much, so I'm sure there are some better informed guys on here than, so fire away,I added a pic of it,I hope you make it out its the first time I've posted my own thing on this site as you can see I'm a newbie
14.
