2. Here are some pics of my Fender Performer. I have been thinking of selling her but everyone seems to think I'm a little insane for even contemplating it Its in fantastic condition with only 2 small marks on the back [attachmen =2793:DSCF0854.JPG]

 4. I will get some pics done tonight and posted
 5. I have an SB320 5 string that I bought from The bass Centre in 1995. It is still my main bass but last Friday I giged with a borrowed Yamaha TRB5 which sounded a lot brighter. Has anyone changed the pickups on a Bass collection and if so what to?
 6.
Hummmn Mad no... Unwise-- maybe......! My suggestion FWIW is keep the performer get rid of the planky BC and get your new Yam or an Ibanez.... Its that that letting down the stable not the Fender. The Fender will only go up in value whereas the BC wont. This is of course only my opinion!
And much appreciated it is too
 7.
Put in in the 'For Sale' forum Chris
Will do, when I have taken some pics of it.
 8.
Hi Stevie, They are worth about £95. PM me your address... Seriously though, the value of Performers is rising quite steadily as there are limited numbers out there. The good news for you is that the Tobacco Sunburst seems to be the rarest of the finishes. If it is mint and you get lucky then you could see that £450 figure (mint ones, store bought can make $1000 now in the States) but there is not yet a big market for them, despite the Fender name. Also the exchange rate makes it harder to sell to the Americans, which is where most of the interest is. FWIW, the Swiss one was the only one I've seen for sale outside the US (and I scoured the net on a weekly basis!), it was in great condition but had none original pots. Don't let it go for less than £350 if its in as good a condition as you say and if you put it on the bay, be prepared for mainly US bidders. Also this would be a good investment bass if you can afford to hang on to it. Of course as a Performer nut I am interested myself but don't have any cash to go buying basses at the moment. If you post some photos on the For Sale board then I will flag this up to a US collector that I know. I tried to get him to sell me one of his Performers a while back but he wouldn't and I know for a fact that he does not have a sunburst... One final thing, how can you even think about selling such a marvelous bass? elom
Well I have 3 Guitars:- The Fender Performer which I don't play, a Fender Precision, the first bass I ever bought which I use as a back-up for gigs and a Bass Collection 5 string which is my main bass. I have never been totaly happy with the sound of the Bass Collection as it has always seemed "Lifeless" if you know what I mean. So last Friday I borrowed a Yamaha TRB5. It sounded so much more alive than the Bass collection and the action so much better. As the Bass Collection is about 15 years old I thought it time I had a new bass. So the long and the short of it is.......I have been threatened, by she who must be obeyed, that I am not to buy more basses but one out and one in would be Ok. As I don't play the Performer I thought that I would let that one go. Do you think I'm mad then?
 9.
Well if you move fast you might be in luck. The guy who sold me mine is selling off one of his others to raise cash. It's in better condition than mine and has a BIN of $700. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;#entry36188 Having had it a couple of weeks now I can honestly say that I've not even picked up either of my other basses.
I have one for sale if any one is interested
