1.
very enjoyable to listen to what is that high noise in the chorus, is that the singer? or is it a synth? kinda sounds like a car being locked
Hehehe... believe it or not that was our vocalist He's got some insane screeching going on there. This was our first recording. still busy mixing but I think it came out pretty clear. we're probably gonna remix though so any pointers are welcome
2. Hi there people I've just put new tracks on our myspace. Go check it out and tell me what you think. These are preliminary mixes. We're prob remixing this weekend and finishing the rest. Has anyone ever recorded their bass by going direct into the board? I mean, I know it's been done but is there anyone who prefers it? I did it yesterday and my TRB never sounded that punchy and defined! With a little dirt via my Tech21 GT2. The site is www.myspace.com/6armsofchaos. By the way how do I post a link?
3. I always thought a velcro neck pocket would be the way of the future Oh well i'll prob take it off the weekend. You see. . .I have taken my seven string apart for customizing. Other guitars over the years have been diss-assembled as well, but it feels like i'm about to do work on a Rolls-Royce, in my back yard Haha
4. Thanks for the friendly welcome! May the bass be with you
5. Hehehe. . . I wouldn't ask the guys here for water if I was on fire They phone me for advice I didn't do anything to it, I just noticed it sticking out the other day!!!! Weird! I loosened the strings completely, then loosened the rod. I tried to push it in a bit but it went in almost the same amount it was sticking out I don't want to take my neck off right now so I'm gonna wait a bit and see what happens. If all else fails I'm gonna have to buy another bass in the meanwhile then take the TRB up to a luthier in Jozi. . .sigh. . . They can take off my fretboard and fix my trussrod hopefully Sucks though!

I'll have some tracks up soon. Unfortunately our drummer and vocalist decided to leave a while back so I haven't fineshed mixing yet. We do have a track on mynoise though.
8. Thanks a lot for the help It's a TRB1006. Unfortunately there is no good luthiers in my area! I'll check it out after work! The thought of my baby being ruined was driving me batty!

11. Thanx for the replies, I took pictures but I don't know how to load them yet, sorry! It is a Trb 1006. The trussrod on the high b side is sticking out at least 5mm. the low b side's rod is flush with the heel of the neck. It is the rod itself as far as i know cause the allen key fits into it. that is the rod itself that then srews into a 'nut' at the headstock side of the neck. Right or wrong?
12. Hi there Bassists. Yesterday I was playing and suddenly I saw that one of my trussrods had slipped out!? WTF! I've never seen this happen. My action is still ok and I haven't picked up any warping on the neck. Should I just screw it back in?
13. Hi there guys and gals, my name is Styles and I'm From Port Elizabeth in South Africa. I started playing bass 5 years ago. At this moment I'm in an experimental death metal band. I like all music but hard and heavy is my favourite! My gear: yamaha TRB1006, Ashdown MAG300h with 1x15 and 4x10. behringer 2channel compressor and an Electro-Harmonix metal muff for crunch
