Total Watts

  1. Mine is a plain-jane and a million like it, but this one's mine. 1993, and a very deep tone.
  2. Well all three have that signature Mesa grindy tone to them. The Prodigy being 250w has the closest character to the Bass 400 being 240w, so pushing with your playing has the most similar push-pull dynamic. The Strategy is just gobs and gobs of power. At 465w its hard to push the dynamics with your plucking/playing, it just stays cleaner but gets awefully loud and hits really hard. My former drummer would complain the bass would shake through his bones if I set it too close to him.
  3. My rigs. Most gigs I'll use the two 210's or a lone 212 cab, but outdoor gigs I'll bring the bigger stuff.
  4. Is there any interior pictures? I had one with my last Mk1, and the interior was carpeted and only formed to fit a Mk1 (MK2 or Mk3 would not fit). Or is this one a foam interior? I might be interested depending on interior and if it can ship to the US.
  5. Yes, some Wal colors have definitely shifted with age. I had a maple Mk1 that in photos was a very dark purple color when new, and years later by the time I got it it had faded to battleship gray color, but you could still see darker in some edges. As for Martin, the old Mk1 is back in his possession and he's been playing it on stage in recent years. I remember seeing it come up for sale back around 2010/2011 timeframe, it had been converted to lined fretless but still have the dove inlay at the 1st marker and the thumb rest in that unusual position. I don't know who bought it then, but seems around 2018-ish it finally made it back to Martin and back to having frets.

I agree, I'd want the fretless on top as well. But since this fiver doesn't have the tuners all loaded on one side of the headstock like the 4 string twin necks do, why can't you swap the necks around? I recently received a new Mk3 with single pickup in the 'Ray' position. It sounds fantastic and growly, very different from the regular Customs. Bit more mid-forward tone.
  7. Once it hits the US, the shipping company will tack on 5% of the sale price to the receiver for the Duty fee. The receiver may or may not have any sales tax depending on what State they live in. You as a seller will have to print up a simple invoice and attach to a pouch on the outside of the box to make things easy for all parties.
  8. Still much less than what it would sell where I am.
  9. EMG is correct, the rear pickup wiring is Teed into to provide the open note and velocity. I too have a Midi 5, and before this I had a Midi 4, and I disassembled them (for check-up, cleaning) and saw the wiring harness tapped into the stock pickup.
  10. I agree with Dr T and ikay. Its the way people eq their amps. I've been playing dozens of Musicmans for decades and never had a weak G on any of them. It goes beyond only the StingRay model that I've seen folks post that they had an issue; they said that about the SR5, and the US Sterling, ive also seen people say they has issue with the the G on dual pickup Musicmans. Well, it can't be all of them, its just that the MM voice doesnt work with certain eq settings.
