1. Talented, committed bass player wanted to join established London rock band Sixty Days To Live. Our default style is big vocals, big guitars and a bittersweet edge to the music. Influences include Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pearl Jam, Muse and Foo Fighters. We have just recorded our first 3-song EP. GO TO: "sixtydaystolive" on Soundcloud. We have played at several London venues and are looking for higher profile gigs this year on the back of our recently recorded material. e.g. Barfly, 100 Club, The Social. We have lots of new material in development and also play 2-3 tracks from an earlier incarnation of the band called 'King Rat', including 'Telescopes and Telephones' and 'Seeker'. GO TO: Music page on kingrat - dot - net FAN PAGE: "sixtydaystolive" on Facebook We currently rehearse on Tuesday nights at Survival Studios, Acton, West London. If you're into it, PLEASE SEND LINKS TO YOUR DEMOS OR FILES in your response. Thanks :-) History: Ex-King Rat bandmates Matt De Bono (guitar) and Garry Cappuccini (drums) were joined in Sept 2011 by Dave South (bass) followed by original singer Charlotte Wheatley in April 2012, replaced by Charlie Parris in June 2013.
2. I was the guitarist and co-songwriter for 6 years in London rock band King Rat. After 3 albums and many gigs we split up last year. Now, Garry (drummer and co-songwriter) and I are looking for a committed, London-based bass player to form a new band playing some King Rat songs, new tracks we've written and working on new ideas. Most importantly, we want to have fun and get out and play gigs. Lots of info about King Rat, music clips etc. here: http://www.kingrat.net/ If you're interested, contact me via email: [email protected] Cheers, Matt
3. We are still auditioning, so feel free to get in touch if you're interested...
4. The thing is, we've already arranged to have Charles Mingus brought back from the dead, so Jaco's going to have to wait his turn. We rehearse once a week and try to gig at least every other week as a full band (with a couple of us doing acoustic shows here and there) Angus
5. This amp is in excellent condition, having been gigged only a handful of times. These retail around £500 - see http://www.imuso.co.uk/ProductDetail.asp?StockCode=EG00029 - the owner is moving to Australia at the end of the month so a quick sale is needed, hence the bargain price. 6. We are King Rat. If you don't know us, check www.kingrat.net or www.myspace.com/kingratmusic Our bass player is moving to Australia and we are looking for a replacement. He is a fantastic bass player and you need to be too! In the past year, we have supported Marillion on their UK tour, Ray Wilson (Stiltskin, ex-Genesis), Fish, and lots more. We gig regularly around London and the UK. The band has been going for about 5 years. We are all about 30, serious about getting signed (and have many good leads). We do want: - a great player with gigging experience - someone who's serious about being in a band and willing to put in the effort at gigs and rehearsals We don't want: - someone who's only ever played in their bedroom - Jaco Pastorius - you need to be good, but solid playing counts as highly as virtuosity - time wasters If you're interested, please give me a call and we'll arrange a couple of auditions. We're based in London, so you'll need to be there or nearby. Look forward to hearing from you Matt Matt 07980195452 Angus 07878735236
