  1. A bump with content - here’s Tim Lefebvre playing his DeArmond Starfire (with thanks to @richardcoughlan for the link from an older thread 😊)
  2. Aagh, I feel your pain! I did exactly that - a very brief but pedal killing polarity mistake accompanied by the unmistakable stench of fried circuitry - to a Tech21 pedal recently. I've been looking round for a good repair option seeing as the UK Tech21 distributor don't seem to reply to any attempt at communication...will definitely drop Keld a line and see if he can help, thanks for the tip 😀 And glad to hear your BassBone is back to life, great DI.
  3. Just bought an Amp Head from Chris - item exactly as described, posted lightning quick and excellently packed. Very helpful, friendly and quick communication throughout - a real pleasure to deal with and a thoroughly smooth transaction, highly recommended! Thanks Chris.
  4. *** Price Drop to £750 until end of March *** - then I need to pack up for moving house so I'll withdraw it. If anyone is interested, please drop me a line in the next week! Bit undecided on this but a few other purchases need paying for so I think it's time to move this lovely short scale bass on. There is some nice wood grain to be seen through the red finish but it was hard to capture in the pictures. Currently strung with Chrome flats, plays very nicely and the DeArmond USA humbuckers do sound great. Very good condition throughout. There are a couple of tiny indentations on the top which are hard to see except when held just so and in the correct light (in fact I'd forgotten they were there until I took the photos). Have done my best to show these in the last photo below by using flash at just the right angle (tiny dinks encircled). Barely noticeable in general and certainly not affecting playability but thought it best to disclose. So not quite mint condition but pretty close for its age! Comes with a padded TGI gig bag in excellent condition which the bass fits in well. Collection from West London preferred but could maybe arrange postage / meetup if needed. Any questions / further pictures / sound samples needed, let me know. 5. Just bought a cab from Paul - good comms, a very easy and pleasant transaction all round 😁 Thanks Paul!
  6. Just bought some flatwound strings from Dan - exactly as described and posted lightning fast. A pleasure to deal with, thanks very much!
  7. Just bought a bass from Dave - exactly as described, very well packed for shipping and arrived super quickly. A pleasure to deal with, wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Thanks Dave! 👍
  8. Just bought some strings from Paul - exactly as described, good comms, no probs Thanks!
  9. Sounds super close to me on both K702's and decent studio monitors. And nice track choice! 🙂
  10. If you don't want to go down the IEM route, you could look into something like a Pulse ... not tried one myself but seems a way less intrusive way to feel a tempo than blasting beeps into your ears 😆
  11. I have one and I agree 100%... someone's in for a treat 🙂
  12. Just bought an ACG Custom J bass from Mike who was very accommodating of my flying visit, despite short notice from me, with good comms throughout the day to arrange a meetup. Bass was exactly as described in great condition and offered at a very fair price. Lots of good background info about the bass also offered up. I'd have no hesitation dealing with Mike again in the future - a very quick, no hassle transaction and a pleasure to meet. Thanks 👍
  13. Adam just bought a bass from me and everything went very smoothly - good comms, everything straight forward and a pleasure to meet. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with Adam again. Thanks!
  14. Great idea! Maybe add a bit.ly link to the Basschat post that the image comes from to each description? Then if our interest is piqued we can find out more about it. Would have to be a plain text link rather than a clickable url (I think) but still useful.
