  1. Yeah cheers man, I live up in the Shetland Islands so it's pretty tough to find anyone nearby with any of this gear. I might go down to England and try out a few cabs, but most probably won't have an AD200B there as well. Might just have to take a punt and hope for the best… That's what I did with the Orange head and I think it is amazing!
  2. Cheers guys, that is good stuff to think about. I would love to try a few of these combos out but is is very difficult for me to get places to give it a go. The OBC410 seems like a sweet plan, but the Orange 115 might be worn considering. I don't really have a reason for it but i'm not a big ampeg fan. No thoughts on Aguilar with the orange head. I also think that an AD200B teetering on top of a Barefaced cab might look stupid….Maybe with a terror 500 but maybe not a big-assed tube head! haha!
  3. Hi guys and gals, This may have been asked before but I was looking for a bit of advice on a cab to go with my Orange valve head. I currently have a Mesa Boogie 18"cab which sounds good with the head but i'm not really a fan of it so looking to get something else. I would like a 410 most likely, I am looking at Orange OBC410, Ampeg 410s, Aguilar and maybe a Barefaced Supertwin 2x12". I am open to other 410 suggestions. Hit me with some thoughts! Cheers dudes!
  4. Lovely Bass, very light and nice to play (The Jazz). However I got a secondhand stingray for £700, same price as a new aerodyne instead. Its all down to taste but i thought it was great.
  5. The 20w orange practice amp i have is very impressive for the size and the money. I would imagine the 100w version would be ace!
  6. Nice yeah, i will be using it to play from very clean "country" music (rarely) up to heavy metal, Devildriver etc.But as long as it has the powerful bottom end for metal i will be happy! I was thinkin this with the mesa 18 might be nice! Im in Glasgow and GuitarGuitar sell fender pro amps on request but none in stock to try unfortunately. Im usually in Shetland so I have never played an amp before buying, just go on reviews which is horrible to be honest! I might try making a trip somewhere to try it out and see what i think now that i have a better idea of what i want.
  7. Sold my one a few months ago for £80 locally
  8. Fair points yeah! I was thought it would not work well. I shall sell what i have and get something loud and matched when i can afford it! Thanks
  9. cheers guys, that makes sense. i already own the cabs so i was looking at an upgraded head. I will probably sell some of the cabs and buy a nice matched setup. Thanks for the help.
  10. I have looked up in the forum but could not find an answer to this question. I am considering hooking a 500w head (@ 4ohm) up to two 8 ohm cabs. One being 400w and the other being 200w. Is this the sort of thing that is okay or will the amp put out 250w to each and possibly damage the 200w cab? I think i have described that correctly, any help apreciated. Bazeley
  11. I did the same sort of test in guitar guitar last year with the MM ray, sterling, USA jazz and p bass. Soon after i picked up a second hand ray and i love it! It's all down to personal preference but there is nothing wrong with a ray!
  12. Never had a problem with the TU-2, would recommend it or the TU-3 i guess.
  13. Sounds good to me! What sort of stuff do you play? Yeah im selling my GK stack to downsize a bit! drive a mini cooper so a powerful combo kinda suits my space issue, (that or a light weight cab/head) The combo is a 210 and uses same speakers as the PRO cabs. Can add a 8ohm cab to get full 600W. If I get this I will try it with my mesa 118 cab, and mabey get the matching fender 115. Cheers for the headsup on the head but i'm craving a beasty combo! Anybody else had experience with this combo?
  14. Hey guys and gals, I was just wondering if anybody has any experience of this combo? I have been looking at various options for a new amp and i think this looks pretty sweet. Any opinions would be great, there is very little to found on the net about this amp. The head gets good reviews but i haven't seen anybody speak about the combo. Any similar combos which you would suggest might be cool too. I have tried a few new trace combos, and they aren't bad but i want something different. Cheers Bazeley
  15. Free bump, I have one of these and they sound great, lovely to play and solidly built!
