  1. So all this hot weather the last few days has messed with my setup on my Cort C4H and now the E (drop D) will not stop rattling, be it open or fretted. any where on the neck. there are a few spots on other strings but the E it is every single fret. I've tried having the action super high, super low and everything in between and the same with neck relief, i've tried adding another shim to the neck and taking away the one that was there in the first place and i've also tried shimming the nut. but to no avail (at least with settings that leave the bass playable) just super persistent fret buzz. the frets are all level too (been at it with a notched straight edge and a fret rocker) so it's not that. I'm just so confused and frustrated and GRRRRRR any ideas please?!?
  2. Hey, Got a Strat in need of some love, it's got a light vintage tinted polyurethane gloss neck with some dings where it's been in and out of the neck pocket. I'm trying to find a small pot of tinted touchup lacquer to tidy it up but i'm having realy trouble finding anything even remotely close to what I want. and i really dont want to have to strip the the whole neck and spray the whole thing. any help is appreciated Jaz
  3. [attachment=173216:IMG_1959.JPG] [attachment=173215:IMG_1951.JPG] [attachment=173214:IMG_1949.JPG] These were bought for a build I was working on and have since given up on after being offered my friends Ric 4001. These pickups are supposed to be amazing, though I can't vouch for that having never installed them Postage included in the price The AG 4, 5, and 6J-HC split-coil pickups give you noiseless Jazz Bass tone that works for all playing styles. With traditional single-coil pickups, bassists are plagued by hum when the neck and bridge pickups are at different volume levels. While other hum-canceling pickups tackle the noise, you are left with thinner lows, a harsher midrange and a lack of dynamics. The Aguilar hum-canceling pickups feature a split-coil design that allows you to get any pickup level combination without 60-cycle hum - all while retaining the natural, organic tone of your bass. Now you can experience the deep, resonant low-end of the neck pickup or solo the bridge pickup for that sought-after midrange cut without annoying hum! Wound in Aguilar’s NYC factory, the HC pickups are wound to have the big, dynamic tone that Aguilar pickups are known for.

  6. Hey guys, the woofer in one of my M-Audio BX8a monitors has just died, looking for a good replacement that won't cost me a bomb as they're not massively expensive monitors in the first place. Thanks in advance Jaz
