Total Watts

  1. Im gonna buy a microphone for recording all my GCSE music coursework with. I dont know much about recording and was wondering about which michrophone to get ? I would prefer it to be usb. Easy to use and quite cheap, seen as im almost skint. Im gonna use it for mainly bass but also piano and maybe guitar. I was loooking on the digital village website and they have a few good ones. Am i looking in the right place or not ? What should i be looking for ? Im also confused about which program to use. Any ideas or advice ? Thanks your usual all very nice
  2. Hah ! good point ! i'll go change it now ! What should i look out for on here if i want a grindy but also changeable sound ? Still wondering about the whole size issue as well ?
  3. Thanks again ! I was looking at more hartke gear and saw the HA4000 head with a VX 210 and VX 410 ! IM not sure what sizes while give me best range and i dont think i'll get enough out of those two together. What sizes should i get for a good overall range of lows and highs ?
  4. Thanks for the advice ! Another newbie question but what do ohms stand for is it like watts or something ?
  5. Well budgets at most 125 s'pose but it would have to be hell of a good ! Unless theres something awesome ?
  6. Im looking for a more growly sound than a completely fuzzed up sound. So the is double muff is better for this ? Or is there something else out there thats better ?
  7. Thanks thats better than any advice iv ever had !!!! Looked at the hartke stuff all looks ace but what size would you recommend ? Not going for hartke yet but they all look awesome ! This is gonna sound hell of a stupid but whats a pre amp is it just the head ?
  8. So the double muff with both circuits engaged sounds like the big muff ? But you have more control over the eq with the big muff ?
  9. Looking to spend yet more money ! Was searching for hours today to find a decent showdown between the Big Muff and the double muff. Just wanted to know what you thought was best for a heavy but still powerful bass sound ? Or is there something else out there ? Thanks
  10. Hey, Was using another bass forum ( wont name names ) But didnt get a reply as quickly as i hoped ! So thought this looked like a good place to ask for help ! Im 15 been playing bass for a year now and finally saved up enough money to have a Behringer Ultrabass BX4500H head with a 1x15 BB115 and a 2x10 BB210 behringer cab. Then it got stolen ! and I was wondering if you had any ideas that would help me decide on a new head and cabs. Iv got around £700 but if youve got any better ideas i could get more money. I play in a four piece medium rock band, some heavy stuff some not ! I was looking for something with enough power for a medium sized venue but with a decent sound. But something that i wont have to fiddle with when we move to bigger venues not huge but bigger. I like the sound and style that Dan Haigh from fightstar gets. So anything that remotely sounds like him is great ! Just wanted to know if youve got any ideas or advice. Iv only been playing a year so still dont understand a lot of bass talk ! So id appreciate it if youd reply simply so i can make a decent choice ! Also if there is anything that you think is complicated could you please explain ! Thanks hope your more help than the other forum !
