My TE V-type was doing a similar thing. It's now fixed and as Aussie suggested, it was a few dry joints. Probably the same problem as my amp is a similar age to yours.

The EQ on its own works fine. Won't having the EQ running before the compressor just boost the signal going into it even more? When we're talking about resetting the input signal, do you mean on the bass itself?

Hi, I have recently bought an active Corvette but when putting it through my compressor and EQ pedals the sound suddenly distorts. I've tried turning down the input and output gains on both pedals and also the bass. The bass and pedals are fine when working separately. Any thoughts? Pics attached are of pedals and amp. Cheers.

Hi, my Warwick Corvette Proline (1996) has a popping input. Just wondering if anyone knows what type it is and where I might be able to get a replacement from, I can't seem to find anything suitable where I'm looking. Ta

Would it not increase the subscription to BC if the donation made out of love covered advertising as well. Hi all, I'm currently on the lookout for a boost pedal (I've looked all over this forum and couldn't find anything about it) and am looking predominantly for a clean boost with the possibility of making it a bit dirty if things are heading that way... Been looking at catalinbread and markbass so far, just after a few thoughts/opinions/ suggestions. Also, EQ pedals I have a trace elliot V type but my low-mids keep dropping out when slapping and my compressor (trace elliot Dual SMX) is working overtime to keep up meaning I can't use it for everything I want. Any good suggestions going on there? I'd love the trace SM7EQ but they're few and far between... Any thoughts appreciated!

I think it's possibly solved - a set of new preamp valves. It seems to have solved the problem for the moment, we shall see...

That shows how little I know then... That sounds annoying about your amp! I think it's a night with the amp in pieces and the multi-tester out and then probably off to the expert.
