1. Interesting! Are the new 4 strings ATM mex or jap made?
2. Out of interest why do the 4 and 5 string Marcus Miller signatures have such a difference in price when buying brand new? I love the look of them and the sound just thinking id be better off upgrading my 5 string playing to one but the price of the 4 is so much more appealing 😝 cheers?!
3. Hi everyone, just out of interest would anyone know if there are different colour scratch plates available for the modern player 5 string? Cant seem to find one online, debating buying a regular 5 string plate and cutting more of a hole for the hum bucker pick up! Would be nice to have a different colour available just to change things up everyone once in a while, thanks in advance, Lewis
4. I use the SP212 and SP210 and it really packs a punch. Often use just the 212 at practices just take the 210 to gigs for that little bit extra. Awesome design from orange.
5. My first ever support slot was at the fleece when I was about 16! Iconic venue in Bristol! Best of luck! Louisiana and thekla great too!!
6.
+1. Tab will probably just tell you to hold an A,but as above I think a matter of feel and locking with the drummer. If you watch some live recordings its pretty much A and octave and little runs from the the A oct G,E and to the lower A. Nice to play the alternating A on the D string with the open A string too.Jam and feel!!
+1 +1. Seem to have it all sussed here guys 👍
7. I've learnt so much for free on YouTube from: Marlowedk- He covers everything from beginner up to some pretty complex stuff! Also has his own iphone/iPad app out for slap stuff too! Really good! Also on YouTube Scott Devine bass lessons very helpful! Glad I found this thread lookin for some books to possibly buy for some theory stuff!
8. When I started bass I was only 13 and got a ibanez EDB550 which was awesome for me with my small hands at the tender age of 13 lol. Also light as a feather and awesome active Duncan pick ups. Still sounds awesome today and still gets gigged every once in a while!
9. I use a OBT 500w with a sp210 and sp212 and they are great little cabs. So easy to store around the house and great for pub gigging because they have such a small footprint. Very reliable great sound! Say no more top cabs for their size! Hope you find one got mine on eBay!!!
10. Looks Ace always wanted one and I've never even played on before!
11. I have one of these i no longer use it live but it was the first effects pedal of any sort i ever bought and can vouch for how good it is! £80 is a bargain here for someone!! Never letting mine go too much fun! lol!

Compressors

I've just purchased a M87 it's my first compressor but I bought it based on reviews and other peoples opinions! So far so good! Great bit of kit!
13. My want for Fretless is just growing and growing. Gunna have to get a Fretless neck for one of my jazz basses and swap it over 😝
