1. Does anyone know a U.K. release date for this pedal yet?
2. It's a whammy 4. Modtone looks interesting, but it is looking like I could buy the new bass whammy for as much as it will cost me to solve the ac problem.
3. Contacted GigRig. No support for older AC powered Whammy pedals. Maybe I should consider buying a new one.
4. I'm planning to rebuild and tidy up my pedal board and would prefer to keep power supplies on the board to a minimum. So I've been looking at gigrig, t-rex and pedaltrain power solutions, but I haven't been able to find a solution that would also power my whammy pedal so that I can ditch the bulky adapter. The closest I've found is the T-Rex which has a 12v AC, but the Whammy is 9v AC. Anyone know of a suitable power solution? Thanks in advance for any advice.
5. Sorry Rob . I don't need a 2x10. If you're still interested then PM me. Cheers. Paul
6. I've gone the lightweight road, so I now have this cab just sitting in my living room. It has been gigged and toured so there is some wear on the carpet covering, but it is in full working order. The spec per the Hartke website is: Dual-Chamber, Dual-Ported Cabinet Four Hartke XL 10" Aluminum-Cone Bass Drivers Power Handling: 400 Watts @ 8 Ohms Frequency Response: 30 Hz To 5 kHz Sensitivity: 98 dB @ 1 W/1 M Voice Coil: 1.5" Magnet Weight: 60 Oz. Parallel 1/4" Inputs Dimensions: 24"(H) X 24"(W) X 15"(D) Weight: 88 lb. Looking for £120. Collection from Sutton, Surrey. Anyone interested?
7. Haven't heard Of Funghi yet, but I love his solo stuff as well as Primus. Hopefully, if he gets a good response on his visit he'll play over here a bit more often (and with Primus).
8. Ticketmaster is selling tickets for a Les Claypool gig at the O2 Islington Academy in March 2010. Tickets on sale today. Just in case anyone is interested and didn't know.
9.
One of my teachers at college, Terry Gregory, also played in this style - left-handed and upside down. It really was a sight to behold and so impressive that he was able to make exactly the same sounds as someone slapping with their thumb, rather than index finger. I believe he took a lot of influence from Jimmy Haslip, having a similar approach.
I was about to mention Terry and there you go getting in there first! Mr. Gregory was truly a great bass player and a really nice bloke. I remember one lesson on Clave when he was stomping his foot in four, clapping a clave and singing a bass line over the top (or some variation). That impressed me. It was Terry's recommendation that turned me on to the Yellowjackets and Mr. Haslip.
10. I'm playing a charity gig at the Gloucester Guildhall tomorrow with SKANKt. Details If you're in the Gloucestershire area, please come down, show your support and hopefully enjoy the music.
11.
These were hard to come by when they were originally released. Still haven't got them .or heard anything from this collection. Love Stu, after getting 'the urge' he hasn't released much has he? Still trying to track down his double live cd without success.
Do you mean this live album? http://cdbaby.com/cd/stuarthamm Big fan of Stu Hamm, but I haven't got GHS3. I'll have to try to get a copy because I loved the Light Beyond.
12. Boo got there first and the cab has now gone to a new home. Cheers.
13. I've got an old Laney 4x10 that is just taking up space. It has a torn speaker cone, but still works. If someone can make use of it and can pick it up from Sutton, Surrey it's yours. It would make the girlfriend very happy to see it go.
14. I've got a 4U Rack case but it only has rails on the front. I want to have rails fitted across the back so that I can mount a PSU for the plugs of the front-mounted equipment. Does anyone have any recommendations of who to go to for this? Cheers.
