1. I think mine is 2001 ish, so possibly a little out, but I love it. Candy cola and maple, picked it up on Gumtree for £350. Well worth it.
2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
3. I'm not too far from you either, just over by Heathrow.
4. I work with a Peter Allen, but I doubt it's the same person.
5. Oh that's very tempting. I've been looking at these for a while.
6. I have one of these in Sunburst and I love it. I paid £50 for mine and that was an excellent price. £25 is even better. I'm very surprised that nobody's bought it yet.
7. Rats. Only just saw this. I'd have come to see you.
8. That was so close. There were four I could easily have voted for. Well done everyone.
9. I'd be very tempted too if I weren't broke at the moment. If it's still being sold when I'm not and I can work out how to get there from London I'll let you know. Unfortunately I have no idea how long it'll take. Sigh.
10. There's also a black one in Hands Music in Kingston. I'm wondering if Rickenbacker are using this thread to track copies. Both the Kay and the Indie are no longer listed. A TalkBass user posted about a letter he received from them about a Kay he listed this week. Probably the same one.
11. Mine needed a good clean and it's very scuffed, but the strings were fine and the neck and setup were perfect. It needs the jack resoldering now, but it seemed fine when I first got it. Depends on how the last owner treated it, I suppose.
12.
Nice looking Colombus here http://www.ebay.co.u...330859809771%26
I have one of these. It was my first bass. If anyone ever sees one being sold at that kind of price again, grab it fast. It's well worth it.
13. My first bass was a 1976 Columbus jazz copy in three colour sunburst with a red tortoiseshell pick guard. Still have it now. It has a slightly crackly jack and controls, a bit of a grounding issue and it's very scratched and scraped along the bottom edge, but I love it. It sounds just like a Fender, at least to my ears. I'm either going to fix it up myself or have it professionally done, depending on what exactly needs doing. I'll take some pictures of it to post next time I go upstairs.
14. I just posted pictures of mine in the white bass thread if anyone would like to see those. Doesn't seem much point in posting them twice.
15. I have two white basses. My Peavey Zodiac in I think Arctic White though there doesn't seem to be much difference between that and Olympic, and my mystery Ibanez SDGR in White Pearl. The Ibanez looks more like pale cream to me irl but that's what they call it. It has a subtle sparkle to it in the light. The Zodiac: And the SDGR:
