1. Gotta be most of the Bass lines by JJ Burnel on Rattus Norvegicus. Just how did he get that growl from his P bass and still retain the bottom end?
2. That would be the build quality I assume?
3. Yes. Does that reflect on the answer to my question? BTW..... I never baulked at the weight of Peavey T40 either. 😆
4. Straight forward question. What do you guys think on the two options and why? Pro's and Con's? Likes/dislikes. Many thanks for your input in advance.
5. Selling mine now if anyone is interested.
6. It would be a lot easier to understand this already complicated issue if I were to know what MIM MIA MIJ IME CIJ and Squier VM and CV all stood for. I can guess a few but can anyone enlighten me? Many thanks.

So in short, they are Celestion speakers, but built/designed to a higher spec for TE, and the cabs are better designed/constructed than generic cabs. Thanks to those that answered the question. (Dandelion/longtimefred)

No. And that is exactly my point! Anyone can make a cabinet and put celestions in it. I bought a 4x12 cab many years ago with 4 x 12" celestions in it from a music shop that had their own cabinets made to the same spec as a well known company. The cabs were less than half the price. Same spec cab. Same spec speakers. People were still willing to pay over double for the cabs with brand name on them. A TE cab with celestions is not the same as a cab with celestions in it just because it has a TE badge!! If the speakers are a custom spec, fine. Enlighten me. If the speakers are the same, tell me how the quality of the cab differs from any other top name 4x12 cab construction. Many thanks.

Well that is what I am questioning!! Please expand on the difference between a TE cab with celestions in and a celestion filled cab with a TE badge!!
10. Please excuse my ignorance and feel free to educate me, but, I see a lot of money changing hands for second hand TE cabs but was always led to believe they were only celestion speakers in them! Is this the usual case of paying for the badge on the front?
11. I had mine in the late 70's after owning a copy Precision and a copy Rick' and before I owned a Fender Precision. At no time at all, did the weight issue ever arise. Its only since I joined this forum that I have heard of people complaining about the weight. Perhaps it's the usual story.... when anything is so near perfect, people will always try and find something to be picky about? When I gigged mine, at a frantic pace in a Punk band, I was 18/19 years old. I had broad shoulders by then and had grown a pair. :-)
12. Hi. Is it possible to get a headphone socket added on one of these or do I need to use the pre amp out to a Xennyx 502 or similar? Many thanks. Kirk.
13. Got myself a near minter Big Muff on its way from Fleabay. Many thanks for all your input.
14. Hi. Is this still for sale? Many thanks. Vicar
15. How does the Big Muff compare to the Boss Fuzz MK3?
