Total Watts

1. Origin Effects Cali76 Compact Bass for me. I love it.
2. I have never played through the Tech21 Leeds, but if I had to buy a Hiwatt preamp style, I would buy rather Shift-Line Olympic MKII because it's specially designed for the bass, it has a pure tube circuit and other option as headphone output + effect loop + ground lift switch. But it is true that it's more expensive than the Leeds. http://shift-line.com/card.php?device=60
3. No tube-preamp in the list ? The EBS Valve-Drive, Effectrode Blackbird SR-71 ( work very, very well with my four Gretsch bass ), Shift-Line Olympic MkII ( Hiwatt preamp clone ), Dave Hall preamps, Carl Martin Bassdrive, etc.., should be on the bench test also In any case, you summits a good initiative with these comparative tests. Thank you for that, Bass Pedal Geek.
4. The Brimstone Audio XD-2 and the Creation Audio Labs Grizzly Bass are excellent and transparent pedals for boost clean, crunch, overdrive, and distortion tone.
5. At present, the cab which I like most is Barefaced '69er ( with my Alessandro Basset Hound valve amps, or Monique preamp by Jule Amps + Minnie 800D by Demeter ), but my opinion should change when I shall receive one Rétro Six10 and one Rétro Two10 . The Mesa Scout Radiator is a very good 15" single cab, too : Big, fat, and tremendous bass tone for a tiny cab.
6. I am a lucky man: I have Monique for one year ago. She is excellent. The tone is magnificent. It's very similar to full tube amp ( SVT or B15 ) for the recordings. As my Monique is a first version, I am going to send her at Jule so that he adds the update's Monique ( drive the output" line level " with a 12AU7 + a potentiometer push / pull to increase the sound volume + 4 dB). In the parcel of return at my home, there will be also a Minnie 800D amp. . If you love the tone of full tube amps, I advise you Monique's purchase very highly. Furthermore, Jule Potter is a very professional, very passionate, and very nice guy. Concerning the works of Monique's update, Jule is going to make them free of charge. I shall have to pay out only for the sending of the parcel ( He offers me the expenses of the shipping return )
7. Because you doubt, I would like to know what is the first true high-end bass amplifier, according to you ? Ampeg B-15 portaflex or another amp ?
8. http://www.alessandro-products.com/amp-basset.html My Basset Hound has definitively the most beautiful tone that I have never listened to.
