Good, bad or indifferent service?

My main bass is a 1999 HotRodded P Bass. Would like to have an alternative bass to play on as back up. Been looking at Yamaha BB414 and Ibanez SRX. None to fussed if its active; simplicity is the key! Ideas welcome
