1. You got in just in time, 5 buttons will cost me 50+ GBP. No TC direct contact any more, just 3rd party multi-brand company. I made fins from a biro cap and superglued the pieces in. Nothing fussy. Blue tack would probably do it. The buttons will have to stay as. 20 quid for 2 plastic buttons and an envelope - pfft.
2. Hi, My sax player has just shown me something that he's been hiding for 20 years or so. He has an Acoustic 360 head with 2 361 powereed cabinets. A few cobwebs but not in bad condition. I've spent 4-5 hours gathering info from the web to help him discover what he's got. It's missing one control knob and the transformer or whatever it came with to adapt to UK power supplies. Does anyone know where we can track down serial number dates etc.? And anyone have any idea what the 3 items would be worth should he wish to sell them? PS I don't think he understands about the Jaco, JP Jones connections . . .
3. Wanted: I'm in Kent and looking for old, used or dead 'B' strings for a craft project. Flatwound preferred but roundwound will do. Light gauge 0.125" or extra light 0.120" only thanks. I only need half a dozen and will either pay for them or donate to a charity. Anyone? Cheers, Number Six [email protected]
4. On its way to the Czech Republic! Thanks everyone.

[i]Basschat has a lot to answer for. Searched for Squier Classic Vibe 60's Precision just for fun and found a thread outlining a pot and capacitor "vintage" kit. And really helpful - not pushy one bit. Although happy with the CV (which is unbelievable value for just over 300 quid) I couldn't resist the upgrade. I chose John's "vintage P" kit and a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 and looked for a local tech to do the job. I do my own setups but thought I'd leave the electrics alone. The local guys either didn't reply or wanted the bass for a week and a lot of money for what John called a straightforward job. I asked John if he knew anyone as he's in the next county. The reply was an invitation to watch him do the job. I was over very soon and took a little single malt for him to make sure he did a good job! 8. Hi, I need a pickup installed as well as a pots/cap section installed in my 60's Precision reissue. I don't even have a soldering iron! Can anyone recommend a guitar tech in the Medway area please? [email protected] Cheers!
9. A few 'too old' posts here. Must be at least 3 of us Pino's age or older. Are there any similar older power trios looking for older bassists? Where would I look please? Cheers!
