Hi guys, I'm looking at purchasing my first decent 5 string bass for recording my own project (hard rock/metal) and other bands which will vary but will primarily be in the indie/rock/metal genre. I'm considering either a lakland 55 02/69, dingwall at the moment but open to suggestions. Budget is £500-1000 max.

Hi guys, New here, but my band DarkFall are looking for a bassist to complete our line up. We're a bunch of dedicated musicians aged between 19-21 looking to share our music with the people of Scotland. However that one gig got us positive feedback and two more gigs, one at the local hard rock/metal club Opium and one at Bannermans supporting Exit State on their UK tour in December. We're looking to take this as far as we can, it's not just another "jam with the lads" thing. We've got a set list full of original material just waiting for a beastin bassline!
