1. On hold pending collection.
 2. Extremely close! In and around that area. You a fellow Warsash resident?
 3. About a 10 min walk from The Rising Sun pub, if you know it!
 4. Hi Risk Honestly not sure on weight, I don’t have scales that work currently. It’s comfy enough for me to use for 3x 45mins, with a nice thick strap! Apologies, I was convinced it was top horn and didn’t fully pay attention when photographing/writing this! It is indeed, by the battery cover.
 5. Selling my Barefaced Big Baby 2. It's been the best cab I've ever had works superbly as a single unit or, when paired with other cabs at louder gigs. It's extremely portable and when paired with my TTE500, I can do a single load in! Extremely clear and true sound! They've since been upgraded to the Gen3s but, this has never let me down and is a gigging bassists best friend! Minimal damage, which is all highlighted in the photos! No posting, but will happily meet within sensible distance of SO31. Tech specs - https://barefacedaudio.com/products/big-baby
 6. I'm reluctantly selling my MarkBass TTE500, an utterly incredible amp that sounds excellent at all volumes. Rare Made in Italy version so no cheap Chinese manufacturing! Extremely portable and a very comfy one hand carry at 6kg also runs both 8 and 4 ohm. Some slight wear on the top corner but, for a 12 year old amp that was gigged weekly for years, it's in great condition! Happy to meet within sensible distance of SO31. https://www.markbass.it/product/tte-500/
 7. I'm selling my natural finish American Elite Jazz V. The bass does come with all original case candy along with the hardcase, can provide pics if required. Looking for £1,450.00 and collection only. Will meet within reasonable distance of SO31 post code. Sadly I'm no longer gigging or rehearsing half as much as I used to with new job life and, wedding planning! The bass is in great condition and sounds utterly fantastic. The neck is true and straight with no string rattle or buzz. The frets are brilliant under the fingers. The truss rod operates nice and smooth, especially with the modern wheel they introduced on this model! The EQ options and tone shaping are superb, really excels at being a single use bass, covered me on my function sets. There's a small ding in the back of the top cut out on the backside, so barely noticeable! So help a bass brother out and buy this utterly incredible bass! 8. Today it’d be: Kind of Blue Songs in the key of life Thing of Gold
 9. Far too many great albums to list just three but, some of my favourites are: Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Headhunters - Herbie Hancock Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie Wonder Aja - Steely Dan Voodoo - D’Angelo Tell Your Friends - Snarky Puppy Thing of Gold - Snarky Puppy The Beautiful Game - Vulfpeck there’s 8 for you, all or most draw from multiple genres so it’s a real mixed bag!
 10.
It seems a lot of people share my experience in finding the P "just right", especially for rock or blues involving electric guitars. Some situations I can think of that theoretically may allow the J to shine could be:

A sparse song with acoustic guitar and light drums?

A slow ballad with clean arpeggiated guitar rather than dirty chords? (we do a song like that and I roll the P's tone all the way off and use my thumb but have thought using the J's neck pup could be good. Have tried it at rehearsal but when I'm concentrating on playing and singing it's hard to really compare the tone - would need to record both).

Songs where piano or other keyboard instrument are used rather than guitar?
I think the reasoning behind the scenarios is that the P seems to have strength alongside electric guitar chords as it manages to fill a space that fits in with that. Good posts so far
Funny you should list all those options for using your Jazz, I'd be using my P with flats for all those situations! My Jazz tends to get used for most things post circa 1985, and especially so when I need to get more at hand tone shaping!
 11. My P is my go to. It sounds awesome, it plays awesome, and it's light and easy to carry! My J is a 5 string elite and it also sounds awesome, it also plays awesome, and it's light and easy to carry! Being an active bass and a 5 string I use it for more modern sounding songs and in rooms where I need added control on the fly! Also the low B comes in very hand! The P wears flats for all other circumstances!
