Total Watts

1. I'm selling my Laney amp and cabs: 300 Watt Amp with two cabinets, one cabinet with two 10" speakers and another cabinet with one 15" speaker in it, nicely stackable of course. Great condition with the usual scuffs and abrasions that cannot be seen off stage, but communicate "experience" to the sound man. The height of sexiness, Laney sound quality and performance are legendary. I would not use anything else, and when I get out of jail, I will be looking for the exact same set-up. The amp has been gigged, used and well looked after. The amp is good and loud, easily loud enough for all gigs, and the two cabs work well with each other, with the eq section providing a nice, wide variety of sounds. The cabs are exquisitely easy to move around. Your entourage will thank you for buying such easily transported equipment. Product Description: Laney RBH800 Amp Head 300 Watt Bass Dimensions:14"D x 20"W x 8"H Output: 300 Watts RMS Amp Head Features: Active & Passive Inputs, Gain, Compressor, Variable ENHANCE, Bass, Parametric Lo-mid, Parametric Hi-mid, Treble, Presence, Limiter, Volume, DI, FX Loop, Speaker Out, Tuner Out Priced for quick sale: £175 Pick up in Cardiff, UK or £1 per mile round trip to deliver. Do not miss this opportunity. First person with money hitting my palm or Paypal account gets the deal of a lifetime. PM me or text or call at 07715 235 210, questions welcome.
2. You guys are terrific. Thanks so much.
3. Hey I'm new so forgive me if this thread exists and I just couldn't find it. My band has been gigging a lot more reciently and as a new bassplayer, I am still trying to sort out my set up for gigging. I have a GP10b for the effects which has a lot of interesting effects in stereo. I am wondering, in particular because I would like to start learning how to make some dubstep "woob woob" noises and other more outlandish effects, how many of you guys run in stereo and how do you do it? I guess I could just hand two leads from the effects processor to the sound guy. But then why do I have an amp? On the other hand, I could buy another amp, and have two amps, one on either side of the stage. What is the skinny on this? How many of you use stereo? How useful is it for creating sonic mayhem (my effects processor has a "pan" function on the tremello, for shooting the sound back and forth to left and right pan...that sounds like it has potential for exploiting the art medium that is big stacks of very low frequency speakers). Any thoughts or advice on how to get funky with stereo? Cheers!
4. Wow. Thanks everybody.
5. Hi everybody. I played guitar and sang vocals as a hobby until I ran into a drummer and a guitar player who said they were looking for a bassplayer and a lead vocalist to play some rock and roll. So I bought a little Tangelwood bass and presented myself. A year or so later, I'm writing songs for our three piece, playing gigs, taking bass lessons and studying music theory more seriously. I'm joining this forum because 1.) I have to buy a bass rig soon (might need to ask some questions); 2.) I spend all my time practicing slapping, dead notes, modes, scales, etc; and 3.) my bass teacher told me to. Oddly, I have always said that I would add a real bassplayer to our group as soon as I could find one and switch back to guitar/leadvocals. Weird. Obviously this would be the place to find such a person. Its just that I am growing so much as a musician learning bass, abandoning bass at this point would make me sad. I guess that gives me provisional status as a bassplayer. I would like to hear from anyone who fronts a band and plays bass while singing lead vocals. It would be fun to hear from someone who has really developed the ability to do both things at once. For that matter, I would still like to hear from anyone who is a great bass player with a broad music education who might like to join our band and write songs with us. You never know. Cheers, Septic
