1. Hello Guys, i made this video a couple a weeks ago... Love this song and a great challenge to transcribe and play it! Hope you enjoy! And if you do, please Like and subscribe because i'm going to do more stuff Peace https://www.youtube....L5gX8rLucJX6VuA
 2.
There was a thread on here a few months ago about a MM Jazz up for sale and the buyer was unsure if the instrument was a genuine MIJ Fender. Somebody mentioned the difference in the belly cut contour on the instrument for sale compared to one they knew to be genuine. Interestingly you have two MIJ basses where the belly cuts look different from each other (how far they extend across the upper horn) though I'm sure they're both the genuine article.
Hi HowieBass, well... The older one, i know it's original because i bought it new in a store and a Fender sales manager was there. The other one was from a trade but indeed looks original too, only lighter... But you point out an interesting difference that i didn't notest until now.
 3.
Any pics to compare?
Hello JapanAxe, here are the pictures. 4. Hello guys, So far i had two Fenders MM, both MIJ. The first one is from 2007 and it has 3 piece Ash body and the weight was 10 pounds. It had all the standard stuff that MM have. The other one has a two piece Ash body and weights about 7 pounds... It's a newer Japanese model with Badass bridge but with 3 string slots per barrel. Those 3 pounds less makes a difference during the gig and the sound is the same... I saw other MM's and all of them had the 3 piece Ash body... any thoughts? Here's the serial number: T001839 (made between 2007-2010)
 5.
Spacing between the strings is 18mm. John
Many thanks John!
 6.
String Spacing is 45mm at the neck, same as my Warwick Star Bass and I get on fine with it at the Bridge end too and I have big hands and fingers. My self made Jazz Bass has 50mm at the neck and I hardly notice the difference. If anything, closer strings means you can move across quicker! And as I hardly play down the dusty end(below 5th fret) it's not an issue there either.
But i was considering an upgrade on the bridge, something like a babicz and for that i've to know the string spacing measured on the bridge Can you tell that? Because i email Thomann about those informations and they didn't answer...
 7.
They were a bit rough but nothing I couldn't live with and after a few weeks playing they seem to have evened themselves out and are fine now John
What's your opinion about quality construction? Is it worth modding it? How much is the string spacing measured from the bridge?
 8.
I've just pulled the trigger on a PJ 5 HTR as a Bass to take to Jams/Open Mics so when it arrives early next week will let you know.....!
Thanx, i'll be waiting!
 9. Thanx, but i really wanted to know more about the PJ 5. But that's a very interesting bass though.
 10. Hello! I'm considering in buying this bass but it has little information of it. My idea is to upgrade the bridge, maybe put some electronics or mod the PU's. Does anyone have it? How much is the string spacing measured from the bridge? Thanx!
