  1. Ok, thanks for the advice. Do you happen to know if the Sommer Spirit XXL is ok with them? I think from what I've read it's thicker than the Tricone and thinner than the LLX. I had previously been advised that it would work well with the Hicons.
  2. How come? Are the Hicon jacks just sturdy enough with out it?
  3. PVC on that cable I think, so should be ok. cheers
  4. Thanks! The cables are all going on a board, so once in place shouldn't be moving at all.
  5. Hello! Going to be making up quite a few patch lead using sommer spirit xxl cable. Videos I've watched on soldering jacks suggest using heatshrink wrap. Anyone know what size and shrinkage I would need to use with this cable? I'll mostly be using Hicon pancake jacks, if that's relevant. If anyone's got any advice, much appreciated!
  6. Let me know if you do decide to sell it, I'm thinking about ordering one.
  7. I think the LoFi machine sounds really good on bass, definitely worth a try. I actually find the sound cleaner and more usable than the Frantabit (I use a noisegate with it to cut out noise when I'm not playing). Although the Frantabit does have way more options. The Bit Comander I thought was not great on bass, the sound is quite messy. But I've found that with other Earthquaker pedals too, don't track bass amazingly in my opinion. This thing looks good though, but not tried it yet: https://www.thomann.de/gb/malekko_scrutator.htm?sid=bd908bcba1861c1f43ce9243948d6866 Anyone ever used a WMD geiger counter?
  8. Anyone know how this compares to the older Mothership? Bought one second hand on here last year and was really impressed with it. Crazy sounds, good sub octave, and it tracked better than I thought it would. Apart from the smaller footprint, what's different about this one?
  9. Ok, thanks. Probably go with the 732s then, save myself £200. Cheers for the advice!
  10. Looking to get a pair of active 12" PA cabs, and everything I've read online says that RCF are decent for the money I'm looking to spend. I emailed a rep at RCF and he reckons there's not much difference in sound between the ART 732 and the HD 32. Anyone listened to these models side by side? Any recommendations? The 732s are a bit cheaper so it looks like the better option, but though I'd get some second opinions before buying. It's mostly for use in a practice room, and small gigs. Will have a couple of sample pads going through it, some drum pads, and a couple of mics. I'll probably add a 15" sub at some point in the future, but am not too worried about getting loads of bottom end at the moment. Thanks
  11. Hi, I PM'd you about the Mothership a little while ago but didn't hear back. Has it been sold?
  12. Bought a pedal, it arrived quickly and well packaged. Good bloke to deal with!
  13. Yep it's a good pedal in my opinion. Does behave how I expected/wanted it to.
