1. Hello!! Yes, I do a similar thing with my vids, it's been a bit of a journey but I'm getting there. All TV and film companies record audio and video separately that's why the clapper board was invented so you can see match the video and audio. I make the track in logic I then record the bass live whilst filming so the bass is live. I use my phone to film it. I then mix the track and master it and the sync the video in final cut. Enjoy!! http://youtu.be/ttewPrQwgxo
2. Hey Guys, I've been recently been playing with some reverbs and delays, I realised just how many bass players had made Reverb and Delay tone prints for TC and that they actually sounded pretty good. I've been playing around and started to get into it. Here's a video with my 1994 Ibanez 1306 (which I bought on here last year from 7enderhead) going through a TC Flashback and HOF. I think the delay and verb work well for this type of thing. https://www.youtube....h?v=xHdUH4b0UaQ let me know what you think. Jimmi
3. The TC Corona with the tone editor app is amazing!! I've edited mine through the tone editor app and got the sound I was looking for.
4. I'm loving the TC amps, I have 2 RH750's. For me the TC offers way more than the Mark bass but It's all about what works for you and meets your needs as a player. I've used many Mark bass amps and for me their flat sound is very scooped which makes the bass sound nice and warm and crisp but might not be everyone's cup of tea. I personally prefer a flatter response. I've heard some amazing bass players sound amazing through Mark bass and I've heard some amazing bass players sound amazing through the TC Stuff. So it doesn't really matter. I made a video about 5 things I love about the RH750. Check it out and you'll see why I love it. http://youtu.be/n0_8q2N1Qug
5. I love the old platinum pro! I used it for a World tour and live recording I did with Il Divo (live in Barcelona album). I couldn't use an amp because of possible bleed into orchestra mics. It worked really well, hopefully this will be just as good. It certainly looks cooler!!
6. Cheers for your comments guys!! Forgot to mentions Pino's fretless!!!! plus Tony Levin on sledgehammer!! That's a classic stingray sound!!
7. I also love Paul Denmans sound!!! I really like the sound of Louis Johnsons bass on MJ's 'Off the wall' album, it's so nice!!! I had quite a few emails about how I customised my stingray after I was featured in Notreble magazine playing it. (You can see/hear the artical here) http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2014/08/19/jimmi-clarke-teen-town/ So I made a video to talk through what I have changed on the bass. Stingray purists will hate me!!! But I really love the MM stingray. http://youtu.be/tS-tpgPFUpI
8. Very Sad!!! It's always good to honour great people and Lincoln was a really great bass player. I knew him from being the bass player in Reg Webbs jazz/fusion band 'The 3 B's'. I saw him play a few times, the last time was around a year ago. He had a great sound and feel and I always considered him as a real musical bass player who effortlessly played and improvised over some really difficult tunes. They have and album called blind, black and breathless which was made in the late 90's. Check out his bass playing on it, it's really good!! He really inspired me as a bass player. Just wish I had told him while he was still here.
9. I own the 5 string version of this bass, I know it looks crazy but these are phenomenal instruments which play amazing and have very well thought out versatile tone controls where you can dial up pretty much any bass tone you can imagine. Have a bump on me!!
10. Hey Guys, I've posted another video on youtube, it's Quote Unquote by Abraham Laboriel. He's a massive hero of mine, he's actually the reason I started playing bass in the first place. Hope you like it! I have a transcription if anyone is interested? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ggX59dqgBE Cheers JC
11. Ok Guys! Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ggX59dqgBE
12. Thanks...Dad : ) Yeah I've been playing a while. Glad you like it, I'll have to make some more. Any suggestions of other bass classics? Cheers Jimmi
13. Hey Guys, I had a free day in the studio today so I put together a version of teen town. My bass is a Stingray 5 but it has 2 EMG DC40's and a EMG 2 band preamp. Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think. http://youtu.be/iuRC2cbZXIE Cheers Jimmi
